open access: greenZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2004

open access: greenZhongshan Daxue xuebao. Yixue kexue ban

open access: greenZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2017

The effect of electroacupuncture at ST25 on Parkinson's disease constipation through regulation of autophagy in the enteric nervous system

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 306, Issue 12, Page 3214-3228, December 2023., 2023
Abstract The effectiveness and safety of electroacupuncture (EA) for constipation have been confirmed by numerous clinical studies and experiments, and there are also studies on the efficacy of EA for Parkinson's disease (PD) motor symptoms. However, there are few researches on EA for PD constipation.

Enhancing the dung beetle iDNA tool for mammalian biodiversity monitoring and ecological studies

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 2, Issue 3, Page 133-139, September 2023., 2023
Invertebrate‐derived DNA (iDNA) has enabled the identification and quantification of ecological interactions within trophic networks and its use in biodiversity assessment. The dung beetle iDNA currently uses live beetles. However, the effectiveness of the iDNA approach hinges on the successful detection of mammalian DNA from specimens collected via ...

Fasting and refeeding triggers specific changes in bile acid profiles and gut microbiota

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 2, Page 165-180, February 2023., 2023
Highlights For the first time, our study contributed a systematic evaluation of bile acid (BA) profiles in plasma, feces and liver tissue and gut microbiota changes triggered by fasting‐refeeding cycle in mice. Our work clearly demonstrated that overnight fasting leads to significant, but reversible changes in BA profiles and gut microbiota composition.

Importance of health assessments for conservation in noncaptive wildlife

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 36, Issue 1, February 2022., 2022
Abstract Wildlife health assessments help identify populations at risk of starvation, disease, and decline from anthropogenic impacts on natural habitats. We conducted an overview of available health assessment studies in noncaptive vertebrates and devised a framework to strategically integrate health assessments in population monitoring.
