Not All Heroes Wear Capes: Cyber Resilience of the Social Administration at a Swedish Municipality

open access: yesRisk, Hazards &Crisis in Public Policy, Volume 16, Issue 3, September 2025.
ABSTRACT This study examines the role of crisis management as an enabling practice for organizational cyber resilience within the public sector. Taking a stakeholder perspective, this qualitative case study analyzes how a Swedish municipal social administration, which was the victim of a ransomware attack that escalated into a crisis, managed to ...

More Complex Constrained Language? An Investigation on Nominal Complexity in Constrained Spoken English Varieties of ESL, EFL, and Interpreted English

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 1482-1494, August 2025.
ABSTRACT While previous research has established nominal complexity as a key indicator of grammatical complexity, its multi‐dimensional manifestation in constrained varieties remains underexplored. This study investigates the distribution of complex nominal structures in constrained spoken English varieties, specifically English as a Second Language ...

Challenges for the veterinary profession: A grounded theory study of veterinarians' experiences of caring for older horses

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 57, Issue 4, Page 1053-1064, July 2025.
Abstract Background In Great Britain, owners are keeping their horses into increasingly older age, reflecting societal changes in human–animal relationships. The uptake of routine veterinary services is reported to reduce as horses age. Horse owners seek information regarding their animal's health from alternative sources before and/or following ...

Simple sequence repeats and their expansions: role in plant development, environmental response and adaptation

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 2, Page 504-517, July 2025.
Summary Repetitive DNA is a feature of all organisms, ranging from archaea and plants to humans. DNA repeats can be seen both in coding and in noncoding regions of the genome. Due to the recurring nature of the sequences, simple DNA repeats tend to be more prone to errors during replication and repair, resulting in variability in their unit length ...

Innovative Exploration of Urban Nature Education: The Mini Botanical Garden Concept

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 10-19, March 2025.
Brief summary: Urbanization is leading to “Nature‐deficit Disorder” that threatens children's health and the sustainable development of humanity. This study implements a new solution—the Mini Botanical Garden, which integrates some of the functions of botanical gardens into community green spaces to popularize nature education in the city.

Strategies for advancing inclusive biodiversity research through equitable practices and collective responsibility

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 38, Issue 6, December 2024.
Abstract Biodiversity research is essential for addressing the global biodiversity crisis, necessitating diverse participation and perspectives of researchers from a wide range of backgrounds. However, conservation faces a significant inclusivity problem because local expertise from biodiversity‐rich but economically disadvantaged regions is often ...

The network structure of psychopathological and resilient responses to the pandemic: A multicountry general population study of depression and anxiety

open access: yesJournal of Traumatic Stress, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 126-140, February 2024.
Abstract Commonly identified patterns of psychological distress in response to adverse events are characterized by resilience (i.e., little to no distress), delayed (i.e., distress that increases over time), recovery (i.e., distress followed by a gradual decrease over time), and sustained (i.e., distress remaining stable over time). This study aimed to

open access: yesJianzhu Gangjiegou Jinzhan, 2020

open access: yesZhongshan Daxue xuebao. Yixue kexue ban, 2022

open access: yesGaoya dianqi, 2021
