Guangtongxin yanjiu, 2012 提出一种新型的方形组合空气孔微结构光纤,其包层是由两种不同大小的空气孔组合而成的,借助FDTD（时域有限差分）法计算了这种光纤的几何结构参数的变化对基模色散曲线图的影响。结果表明,这种微结构光纤由于有两套空气孔,具有较强的色散控制能力。通过优化,可以得到较低、较平坦的色散曲线。
