Autophagy in the retinal neurovascular unit: New perspectives into diabetic retinopathy

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 5, Page 382-396, May 2023., 2023
HighlightsAutophagy is closely related to retinal neurovascular units in diabetes retinopathy. Different cells participate in the occurrence and development of diseases through autophagy, and targeted autophagy may be a new direction of treatment in the future. Emphasized the close relationship between diabetic retinopathy (DR) and autophagy Summarized

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, Volume 63, Issue 8, Page e1-e4, August 2021., 2021

COVID‐19 and comorbidities: A role for dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) in disease severity?

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 12, Issue 9, Page 649-658, September 2020., 2020
Highlights Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) is caused by SARS‐CoV‐2; recent modeling of the structure of SARS‐CoV‐2 spike glycoprotein, which mediates viral‐host‐cell entry, predicts interactions with dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) in addition to angiotensin‐converting enzyme 2.

An Ultrasmall Strontium‐Loaded Polydopamine Nanoformulation for Near‐Infrared‐Enhanced Periodontitis Therapy via Photodynamic Gas‐Promoted Antibacterial and Bone Repair

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis is a chronic infectious oral disease triggered by periodontopathogenic bacteria, resulting in the progressive inflammation and destruction of the tissues surrounding teeth. To achieve reprogramming of the infectious microenvironment for periodontitis therapy, a nanoformulation was proposed by loading polydopamine (PDA) with ...

Developing a Linguistically Valid Japanese Version of the Chronic Pain Attribution Scale: Translation and Cultural Adaptation Process

open access: yesNeuropsychopharmacology Reports, Volume 45, Issue 4, December 2025.
This study reports the development and linguistic validation of the Japanese version of the Chronic Pain Attribution Scale. The tool captures culturally nuanced beliefs about chronic pain causes and provides a foundation for research on treatment responses in Japanese‐speaking populations.

Review of additively manufactured zinc alloys by laser powder bed fusion for biomedical applications

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 44, Issue 11, Page 8262-8291, November 2025.
Graphical abstract AbstractZinc (Zn) and its alloys have emerged as promising candidates for biomedical materials, owing to their controlled degradation kinetics, intrinsic biocompatibility, and the release Zn2+ ions which are known to promote bone regeneration and tissue healing.

open access: yesZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2020
