Trends and progress in studying butterfly migration 蝴蝶迁徙行为的研究趋势与进展

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 1, Issue 1, Page 8-24, December 2022., 2022
We show (i) the potential importance of non‐English‐language literature for understanding butterfly migration globally, (ii) studies are mostly concentrated in North America and Europe with very few from the tropics, (iii) most studies are focused on three species: the Monarch (Danaus plexippus), Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) and Red Admiral (Vanessa ...

Unravelling the processes between phenotypic plasticity and population dynamics in migratory birds

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 91, Issue 5, Page 983-995, May 2022., 2022
This work highlights the critical role of the stopover stage of northward migration in the influence of migration tactics and population dynamics of migratory birds across the whole annual cycle. The authors also demonstrate the key processes linking individual migration tactics and population dynamics.

Named Entity Recognition of Ancient Poems Based on Albert‐BiLSTM‐MHA‐CRF Model

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
The extraction and construction of the knowledge graph related to the entity of ancient poems are helpful to excavate the connection between ancient poems, and it is of great significance to inherit the traditional Chinese culture. This paper proposes an Albert‐BiLSTM‐MHA‐CRF model for entity extraction in ancient poems.

Long‐term trends in the phylogenetic and functional diversity of Anatidae in South China coastal wetlands

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 31, Issue 6, September 2021., 2021
Abstract Species loss has attracted much attention among scientists for more than half a century. However, we have little information on the trends in phylogenetic and functional changes behind the species loss although this information is always asynchronous and important for conservation and management. We measured community trends in Anatidae (ducks

Amin al-Khouli is the pioneer of Balaghah renewal in modern era. Balaghah renewal that is called Fann al-Qaul (Art of Speaking) appeared in a period close to the appearance period of stylistic study in Europe. The purpose of this research is to reveal the connection between Amin al-KhouliÔÇÖs ideas about Balaghah renewal in his book Fann al-Qaul and ...

Constructed value of information with iterative scoring and parametric uncertainty to identify management‐relevant research priorities for a declining raptor species

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Constructed value of information (CVoI) is an expert elicitation decision‐analytic tool used to prioritize sources of uncertainty based on their potential to improve decision outcomes if resolved. Despite increased application of CVoI, the robustness of CVoI prioritization of sources of uncertainty relative to differences in expert elicitation

Habitat and spatial trends of U.K. wintering waterbird populations over 50 years

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract The United Kingdom is an important wintering ground for millions of waterbirds. Most U.K. wintering waterbird populations increased between 1970 and the mid‐1990s, but declined thereafter. We examined U.K. population indices in 46 wintering waterbird species in two 25‐year periods, 1970–1994 and 1995–2019, to identify which waterbird groups ...
