Comparative analysis of 2‐year outcomes in GRIT and TRUFFLE trials

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 55, Issue 1, Page 68-74, January 2020., 2020
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the effect on perinatal outcome of different fetal monitoring strategies for early‐onset fetal growth restriction (FGR). Methods This was a cohort analysis of individual participant data from two European multicenter trials of fetal monitoring methods for FGR: the Growth Restriction Intervention Study (GRIT) and the Trial ...

open access: yes, 2018

Impacts of Human Development on Wildlife Use of Corridors in Botswana

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 5, Issue 1, Page 164-171, March 2026.
This study examined the effect of landscape‐scale human impact on wildlife in Botswana. We examined how species use wildlife corridors in two different human‐dominated landscapes. We identified differences in temporal overlap between wildlife and humans across both landscapes, which is fundamental to consider in both current and future conservation ...

Bifunctional Competitive Structure of Biomass Carbon‐Derived Metacomposites for Tunable ε′‐Near‐Zero and ε′‐Negative Responses

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Regulating negative parameters of metacomposites is mainly limited by their unclear mechanisms, which affects their practical applications in new sensing, communication, electromagnetic (EM) protection and other fields. This work proposes a dual‐functional competitive design strategy based on the waste corncob‐derived carbon/polyaniline ...

Finding floral and faunal species richness optima among active fire regimes

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Changing fire regimes have important implications for biodiversity and challenge traditional conservation approaches that rely on historical conditions as proxies for ecological integrity. This historical‐centric approach becomes increasingly tenuous under climate change, necessitating direct tests of environmental impacts on biodiversity.

To rebuild or not to rebuild in coastal flood zones: The effects of framing and partisan cues on public support

open access: yesRisk, Hazards &Crisis in Public Policy, Volume 16, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract Coastal storms are likely to increase in frequency and become even more damaging. An unresolved policy issue is whether current residents should receive federal subsidies through such programs as the Federal Flood Insurance Program or the FEMA disaster relief program that encourage thembe encouraged to rebuild in the same locations that have ...

Patient safety culture among European cancer nurses—An exploratory, cross‐sectional survey comparing data from Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, and United Kingdom

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, Volume 75, Issue 12, Page 3535-3543, December 2019., 2019
Abstract Aim To explore the differences in perceived patient safety culture in cancer nurses working in Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Design An exploratory cross‐sectional survey. Methods In 2018, 393 cancer nurses completed the 12 dimensions of the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture.

Prospects for conserving freshwater fish biodiversity in the Anthropocene: A view from Southern China

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 294-311, December 2024.
Freshwater biodiversity in China is threatened by multiple anthropogenic factors, and while there are some reasons to suppose it may be possible to bend the curve of biodiversity loss, the variety of threats and their likely interactions with ongoing climate change provide little basis for optimism. For example, the historic overexploitation of Yangtze

Social participation challenges and response strategies identified by adults aging with a disability

open access: yesJournal of Elder Policy, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 95-109, October 2024.
Abstract Social participation is likely to decrease among older adults as disability levels increase. However, it is a modifiable determinant of health that can impact older adults' well‐being and quality of life. Thus, this secondary data analysis aimed to understand what challenges older adults aging with a mobility or vision disability face with ...
