Effect of seed biopriming with liquid bacterial inoculants on quality of forage oats (Avena sativa)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2023
The application of liquid bacterial inoculants along with the recommended dose of chemical fertilization improved the quality of forage oats at Bathinda and Ludhiana. The best quality attributes were observed with the treatment T11 (RDF + B. seminalis +

Genetic diversity in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) genotypes for Sclerotinia stem rot (Seclerotinia sclerotiorum) using SSR markers

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2021
The analysis of variance confirmed that the average sum of squares was significant for lesion length (cm). Genetic diversity as well as structure of population between genotypes of Indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czern.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Assessment of genetic diversity for various morpho-phenological traits in Sesame (Sesamum indicum)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2022
Sesame (Sesamum indicum L. 2n = 26) is considered as valuable oilseed crop known to humans since ancient times. Despite having high oil quality, it is grown in small area due to lack of high yielding varieties with inbuilt resistance to biotic and ...

Advancing Age Modulates Associations Between Cognitive Impairment and Brain Volumes in Early MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment is common in multiple sclerosis (MS), but manifestations following the first demyelinating event are relatively unexplored. We investigated cross‐sectional associations between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)–derived brain volumes and the presence of cognitive impairment outcomes five years after the first ...

Effect of zinc nutrition on economic productivity of rice (Oryza sativa) and soil biological properties

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2022
Based on our findings, it can be concluded that application of Zn in transplanted rice is essential to harvest profitable yield under acidic soils of NEH region of India. Combined application (soil and foliar) was more effective instead of soil or foliar

Enhancing Strength and Electrical Conductivity in Al–Zr–Sc Conductor Alloys Through Sn and Sr Microalloying and Two‐Step Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...
