Combining ability analysis for yield and protein content in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2014
The experiment was conducted with 10 parents and their 45 F1s (half diallel) during crop seasons (2008/09 and 2009/10) under normal and heat-stress environment to find out combining ability effects.

Branes and instantons intersecting at angles [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1001:005,2010, 2009
We study in detail the system of D6 branes and euclidean D2-brane instantons intersecting at angles in type IIA string theory. We find that in the absence of orientifolds the system does not contribute to the low energy superpotential, in agreement with expectations based on effective field theory arguments.

The Entropy for General Extremal Black Holes [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1004:005,2010, 2010
We use the Kerr/CFT correspondence to calculate the entropy for all known extremal stationary and axisymmetric black holes. This is done with the help of two ansatzs that are general enough to cover all such known solutions. Considering only the contribution from the Einstein-Hilbert action to the central charge(s), we find that the entropy obtained by

Long-term outcomes after adjuvant treatment of sequential versus combination docetaxel with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide in node-positive breast cancer: BCIRG-005 randomized trial.

open access: yesAnnals of Oncology, 2016
BACKGROUND The optimal regimen for adjuvant breast cancer chemotherapy is undefined. We compared sequential to concurrent combination of doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide with docetaxel chemotherapy in women with node-positive non-metastatic breast cancer.

Long-term effect of manuring-fertilization on nutrients availability and yield under rice (Oryza sativa)-lentil (Lens culinaris) system

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2023
Soil health degradation is a major threat in agricultural sustainability specially under rainfed agriculture. The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of long-term fertilization and manuring on soil organic carbon, nutrient status, uptake and ...

Four-Dimensional SCFTs from M5-Branes [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 06 (2012) 005, 2012
We engineer a large new set of four-dimensional N=1 superconformal field theories by wrapping M5-branes on complex curves. We present new supersymmetric AdS_5 M-theory backgrounds which describe these fixed points at large N, and then directly construct the dual four-dimensional CFTs for a certain subset of these solutions.

Vivipary in greengram (Vigna radiata) and maize (Zea mays)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2022
In angiosperms, if high rainfall coincides during the seed development period, hormonal imbalance occurs in seeds (ABA and GA), this hormonal imbalance leads to escape the dormancy, and thereby, seeds germinate on the plant itself.

Natural Cutoffs and Quantum Tunneling from Black Hole Horizon [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 11 (2012) 005, 2012
We study tunneling of massless particles through quantum horizon of a Schwarzschild black hole where quantum gravity effects are taken into account. These effects are encoded in the existence of natural cutoffs as a minimal length, a minimal momentum and a maximal momentum through a generalized uncertainty principle.

Comparing digital image analysis and visual rating of gamma ray induced Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) mutants

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2015
Variability was generated in Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) through gamma-ray irradiation and genotypes were evaluated for their response to low management, induction of dwarfness and other quality attributes.
