Electrosynthesis of a Metal–Organic Framework Single Crystal with Narrow Bandgap

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the electrosynthesis of conductive metal–organic framework (cMOF) single crystal under ambient conditions, featuring pyridine–Cd2+ coordination and 3D cross‐interpenetrating topology. TPyP‐Cd exhibits the temperature‐dependent structural evolution and semiconductivity (1.12 eV bandgap).

Achievement of Superhigh Discharge Capacity in Lithium Rich Oxide Cathode Materials via Modification of Localized Structure

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Layered Li‐rich Mn‐based oxides are post‐treated under implantation by energetic Ti ion flux (Ti‐LLO), which leads to modification of Ti‐LLO structure simultaneously at the surface and in the bulk. ABSTRACT Owing to anionic redox, cathode materials containing layered Li‐rich Mn‐based oxides (LLOs) are promising for the development of next‐generation ...

The Importance of the Design of Porous Transport Layers: Unveiling the Interplay Between Structure, Mechanics, and Electrochemistry in Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Porous transport layers (PTLs) play a vital role in enhancing anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE) efficiency. This study demonstrates how a cost‐effective, elastic nickel‐based knitted wire mesh PTL improves performance by optimising compression distribution, reducing interfacial resistance, and enabling effective gas transport.

Trade‐offs in stability and activity: A study of ordered mesoporous alumina and γ‐Al2O3 supported Ni catalysts for CO2 methanation

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
CO2 methanation over Ni‐K alumina catalyst synthesized via evaporation‐induced self‐assembly to prepare ordered mesoporous alumina (Ni‐K‐OMA) catalysts and via incipient wetness impregnation (Ni‐K/Al2O3). Ni‐K‐OMA exhibited higher CH4 selectivity while Ni‐K/Al2O3 had a higher TOF.

Cu or Fe‐Exchanged Natural Clinoptilolite as Sustainable Light‐Assisted Catalyst for Water Disinfection at Near Neutral pH

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
Fe and Cu exchanged natural clinoptilolites are evaluated as heterogeneous photo‐Fenton catalysts for water disinfection under visible light, using E. coli as a model pathogen. Bacterial detection limit is reached in 2 h, with no regrowth observed.
