Dynamical localization of matter wave solitons in managed barrier potentials
The bright matter wave soliton propagation through a barrier with a rapidly oscillating position is investigated. The averaged over rapid oscillations Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) equation is derived.

First and second sound of a unitary Fermi gas in highly oblate harmonic traps
We theoretically investigate first and second sound modes of a unitary Fermi gas trapped in a highly oblate harmonic trap at finite temperatures. Following the idea by Stringari and co-workers (2010 Phys. Rev. Lett.

Analytical solution of a double-well Bose-Einstein Condensate
We introduce a microscopic computation which shows that the Hamiltonian of a Bose-Einstein Condensate can be analytically solved in the two-mode approximation, in particular, in the case of an asymmetric double-well condensate in the dilute regime.

Mean-field approaches to the Bose-Hubbard model with three-body local interaction [PDF]
The zero temperature properties of the generalized Bose-Hubbard model including three-body interactions are studied on a mean-field level. We obtain analytical results using the so-called perturbative mean-field method and more detailed numerical results

Temporal non-equilibrium dynamics of a Bose–Josephson junction in presence of incoherent excitations
The time-dependent non-equilibrium dynamics of a Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC) typically generates incoherent excitations out of the condensate due to the finite frequencies present in the time evolution.

Spontaneous Circulation in Ground-State Spinor Dipolar Bose-Einstein Condensates
We report on a study of the spin-1 ferromagnetic Bose-Einstein condensate with magnetic dipole-dipole interactions. By solving the non-local Gross-Pitaevskii equations for this system, we find three ground-state phases.

Three-dimensional hybrid vortex solitons
We show, by means of numerical and analytical methods, that media with a repulsive nonlinearity which grows from the center to the periphery support a remarkable variety of previously unknown complex stationary and dynamical three-dimensional (3D ...

Laser assisted tunneling in a Tonks–Girardeau gas
We investigate the applicability of laser assisted tunneling in a strongly interacting one-dimensional (1D) Bose gas (the Tonks–Girardeau gas) in optical lattices.

Resonant invisibility with finite range interacting fermions
We study the eigenstates of two opposite spin fermions on a one-dimensional lattice with finite range interaction. The eigenstates are projected onto the set of Fock eigenstates of the noninteracting case. We find antiresonances for symmetric eigenstates,

Universal dynamics on the way to thermalization
It is demonstrated how a many-body system far from thermal equilibrium can exhibit universal dynamics in passing a nonthermal fixed point. As an example, the process of Bose–Einstein (BE) condensation of a dilute cold gas is considered.
