In the current work, the authors aim to present an insight on the role of cobalt (Co) doping for the structural, morphological, and linear and nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of CdO thin films. The films were prepared using the spray pyrolysis (SP) technique, and the weight % of Co (x) was varied from 0–10.

Reply to Comment on "Circular Motion of Asymmetric Self-Propelling Particles" [PDF]
In a Comment [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113, 029801 (2014)] on our Letter on self-propelled asymmetric particles [Phys. Rev. Lett. 110, 198302 (2013); arXiv:1302.5787], Felderhof claims that our theory based on Langevin equations would be conceptually wrong.

Anomalous Diffusion and Electrical Response of Ionic Solutions
We analyze the electrical response obtained in the framework of a model in which the diffusion of mobile ions in the bulk is governed by a fractional diffusion equation of distributed order subjected to integro-differential boundary conditions.

Parrondo's games as a discrete ratchet [PDF]
We write the master equation describing the Parrondo's games as a consistent discretization of the Fokker--Planck equation for an overdamped Brownian particle describing a ratchet.

Fractal-based techniques for physiological time series: An updated approach
Along this paper, we shall update the state-of-the-art concerning the application of fractal-based techniques to test for fractal patterns in physiological time series.

After notes on self-similarity exponent for fractal structures
Previous works have highlighted the suitability of the concept of fractal structure, which derives from asymmetric topology, to propound generalized definitions of fractal dimension.

Probing optomechanical correlations between two optical beams down to the quantum level [PDF]
Quantum effects of radiation pressure are expected to limit the sensitivity of second-generation gravitational-wave interferometers. Though ubiquitous, such effects are so weak that they haven't been experimentally demonstrated yet.

Bimodality in the transverse fluctuations of a grafted semiflexible polymer and the diffusion-convection analogue: An effective-medium approach [PDF]
Recent Monte Carlo simulations of a grafted semiflexible polymer in 1+1 dimensions have revealed a pronounced bimodal structure in the probability distribution of the transverse (bending) fluctuations of the free end, when the total contour length is of ...

Power spectral density of a single Brownian trajectory: what one can and cannot learn from it
The power spectral density (PSD) of any time-dependent stochastic process X _t is a meaningful feature of its spectral content. In its text-book definition, the PSD is the Fourier transform of the covariance function of X _t over an infinitely large ...

Market memory and fat tail consequences in option pricing on the expOU stochastic volatility model [PDF]
The expOU stochastic volatility model is capable of reproducing fairly well most important statistical properties of financial markets daily data. Among them, the presence of multiple time scales in the volatility autocorrelation is perhaps the most ...
