Optical Identification of the ASCA Large Sky Survey [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We present results of optical identification of the X-ray sources detected in the ASCA Large Sky Survey. Optical spectroscopic observations were done for 34 X-ray sources which were detected with the SIS in the 2-7 keV band above 3.5 sigma.

Synthesis, Characterization, and Electrochemical Study of Tetradentate Ruthenium‐Schiff Base Complexes: Dioxygen Activation with a Cytochrome P450 Model Using 1‐ or 2‐Methylimidazole as Axial Bases

open access: yesAdvances in Physical Chemistry, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
Salicylaldehyde, 2‐hydroxyacetophenone, and 3,5‐dichlorosalicylaldehyde react with 1,2‐diaminoethane to give three symmetrical Schiff bases H2L1, H2L2, and H2L3, respectively. With Ru(III) ions, these ligands lead to three complexes: Ru(III)ClL1 (1), Ru(III)ClL2 (2), and Ru(III)ClL3 (3).

Making up for the deficit in a marathon run

open access: yes, 2017
To predict the final result of an athlete in a marathon run thoroughly is the eternal desire of each trainer. Usually, the achieved result is weaker than the predicted one due to the objective (e.g., environmental conditions) as well as subjective ...

20 cm VLA Radio-Continuum Study of M31 - Images and Point Source Catalogues DR2: Extraction of a supernova remnant sample

open access: yes, 2014
We present Data Release 2 of the Point Source Catalogue created from a series of previously constructed radio-continuum images of M31 at lambda=20 cm (nu=1.4 GHz) from archived VLA observations.

Statistical Study of Energy Transport and Conversion in Electron Diffusion Regions at Earth's Dayside Magnetopause

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 129, Issue 10, October 2024.
Abstract The electron diffusion region (EDR) is a key region for magnetic reconnection, but the typical energy transport and conversion in EDRs is still not well understood. In this work, we perform a statistical study of 80 previously published near X‐line events identified at the dayside magnetopause in Magnetospheric Multiscale data.

20 cm VLA Radio-Continuum Study of M31 - Images and Point Source Catalogues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a series of new high-sensitivity and high-resolution radio-continuum images of M31 at \lambda=20 cm (\nu=1.4 GHz). These new images were produced by merging archived 20 cm radio-continuum observations from the Very Large Array (VLA) telescope.

Risk assessment of war wrecks – a comprehensive approach investigating four wrecks containing munitions in the German Bight/North Sea

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 49, Issue 4, April 2024.
Abstract Shipwrecks and dumped munition continue to be a major hazard, both in the North Sea but also on a global scale. Research within the EU Interreg project North Sea Wrecks (NSW), in cooperation with the German Aerospace Centre, Institute for the Protection of Maritime Infrastructures (DLR), is generating new insights into the status of wrecks ...

A Catalog of Star Cluster Candidates in M33

open access: yes, 2007
We present a new catalog of star cluster candidates in the nearby spiral galaxy M33. It is based on eight existing catalogs wherein we have cross-referenced identifications and endeavored to resolve inconsistencies between them.
