Medical trainees' emotions and their effects on perceptions of performance and team mood in team‐based simulations

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Psychology, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 306-336, March 2026.
Abstract Background Emotions affect performance in learning contexts; however, their effects on medical trainees' performance in highly ecologically valid settings, like team‐based simulation training, are not well understood. It is therefore imperative to know which emotions are experienced by medical trainees and the impacts of these emotions on ...

Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.

DNTTIP1 drives leukaemogenesis through MiDAC‐mediated epigenetic silencing of BMF

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
DNTTIP1 cooperates with SP1 to recruit HDAC1/2, leading to BMF silencing and reduced competitive binding of BMF to BCL2.This suppresses autophagy and apoptosis, promoting leukaemic cell survival. Targeting the DNTTIP1‐HDAC1/2‐BMF axis reactivates BMF and induces anti‐leukaemic effects.

Harnessing Population Genomics, Gut Microbiota, and Environmental DNA Surveillance for the Conservation of Chinese Spotted Seals in a Changing World

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Marine mammals are sentinel species for ocean and human health. Multiple anthropogenic and environmental stressors threaten these organisms, particularly China's spotted seals, which have experienced significant decline over the past half‐century. Our review reveals low genetic diversity in Chinese spotted seal populations.
