Understanding the impact of host plant factors on the oviposition behaviour of the cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala)

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, EarlyView.
The cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) is an important pest of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) in Europe. Cathepsin B Regulates Ovarian Reserve Quality and Quantity via Mitophagy by Modulating IGF1R Turnover

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
Autophagy regulates ovarian reserve, with Cathepsin B playing a critical role in aging. Inhibition of Cathepsin B increases follicle count, enhances IGF1R–AKT–mTOR signaling and improves mitochondrial function without compromising fertility. This conserved mechanism suggests potential therapeutic strategies to delay ovarian aging and sustain fertility,
