Ensiling of soybean curd residue and wet brewers grains with or without other feeds as a total mixed ration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Wet brewers grains and soybean curd residue were stored in laboratory-scale silos without (BG and SC silages, respectively) or with other ingredients as total mixed rations (BGT and SCT silages, respectively).

Entropy‐Stabilized Pd/HEO Bifunctional Catalyst for Selective Aqueous‐Phase Hydrogenolysis of Cellulose to Ethylene Glycol

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
An entropy‐stabilized Pd/HEO catalyst integrates Lewis acid and hydrogenation sites within a robust oxide–metal interface, enabling efficient and selective conversion of cellulose to ethylene glycol (68.3%) in water. ABSTRACT The selective conversion of cellulose into ethylene glycol (EG) under aqueous conditions is an attractive yet challenging route ...

Effect of solid acids in the conversion of glycerol over ru/bentonite catalyst in glycerol hydrogenolysis reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Glycerol known as by-product of transesterification of vegetables oil become an important materials after some chemical modification. In this study, hydrogenolysis reaction of glycerol to 1,2-propanediol was conducted using various supported ruthenium ...

A review of skin microbiome and new challenges to cosmetic microbiome‐friendly formulations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Microbiome‐friendly concepts offer new perspectives for a healthy relationship between cosmetic use and the skin microbiome, especially the interaction of non‐biotic cosmetic ingredients with the skin, requiring further studies to clarify the dynamics between the skin microbiome and different classes of cosmetic ingredients.

Potential of organogel‐based colloidal hydrogels for new cosmetic formulations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Colloidal hydrogels are formed by combining anionic, cationic, or nonionic surfactants with two oils of cosmetic interest: sweet almond oil and phytosqualane. These systems are obtained through hot emulsification followed by cooling, which leads to the aggregation of gel‐like particles.

Preparation of thioester substrates and development of continuous spectrophotometric assays for phospholipase A1 and monoacylglycerol lipase

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1981
Current assays of phospholipase A1 (EC 3.1.1.32) and monoacylglycerol lipase (EC 3.1.1.23) activities in tissues are discontinuous, laborious, and expensive. Some spectrophotometric substrates were synthesized to alleviate this problem. Thioester analogs

Nitric Oxide in Experimental Pulmonary Embolism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Nitric oxide (NO) is an important modulator of the pulmonary circulation both at basal state and in pulmonary hypertension. Low levels of NO are detectable in exhaled gas which is believed to mirror pulmonary NO formation and elimination.

Electronic Smoking Devices Among University Students: Usage Patterns and Chemical Composition of Inhaled Substances

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the prevalence of electronic smoking device (ESD) use and its associated behavioural and chemical risks among university students in Bahia, Brazil. A cross‐sectional survey was conducted with 355 students from public and private institutions through an online questionnaire between April and May 2023. Among participants,

Quantitative determination of fatty esters of 3-phenylamine- 1,2-propanediol by absorption spectrophotometry

open access: yesGrasas y Aceites, 1991
An analytical method for quantitative determination of fatty ester of 3-phenylamine-1,2-propanediol has been developed. The procedure is based on the spectrophotometric determination of coloured compounds formed by reaction of acylderivatives with p ...

Dna2p Helicase/Nuclease Is a Tracking Protein, Like FEN1, for Flap Cleavage during Okazaki Fragment Maturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
During cellular DNA replication the lagging strand is generated as discontinuous segments called Okazaki fragments. Each contains an initiator RNA primer that is removed prior to joining of the strands.
