Narrowing urban–suburban rural disparities in physical growth among children in China: findings from the 5th national survey in 2015

open access: yesAnnals of Human Biology, 2017
Background: Previous studies have reported a narrowing tendency in urban–suburban rural differences for height, but almost no tendency of narrowing for weight in Chinese children between 1975–2005.

Rising income inequality in the U.S. was fuelled by Ronald Reagan’s attacks on union strength, and continued by Bill Clinton’s financial deregulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Income inequality in the U.S. has grown rapidly over the past thirty years, but almost no research has found that shifts in government policy led to greater inequality and the associated stagnation in middle incomes.

Electroactive Electrospun Nanofibrous Scaffolds: Innovative Approaches for Improved Skin Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explores the potential of electroactive electrospun nanofibrous (EEN) scaffolds for enhanced skin wound healing. It discusses how a variety of electroactive materials can be prepared into EEN scaffolds via electrospinning technology, and their applications in various wound types. The review provides insights into the future perspectives for

Error-Tolerating Bell Inequalities via Graph States [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
We investigate the Bell inequalities derived from the graph states with violations detectable even with the presence of noises, which generalizes the idea of error-correcting Bell inequalities [Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 080501 (2008)]. Firstly we construct a family of valid Bell inequalities tolerating arbitrary $t$-qubit errors involving $3(t+1)$ qubits ...

Observation of Optical Precursor in Time‐Energy‐Entangled W Triphotons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports the observation of optical precursors at the triphoton level through the SSWM process. By appropriately adjusting the optical depth (OD), optical precursors are effectively separated from the main wave through utilizing the slow‐light effect to manipulate the triphoton temporal correlations in the group delay regime.

Power System Topological Observability Analysis Using Improved Hopfield Neural Network [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2016
This paper solves the Topological Observability (TO) problem of a power system using the new methodology based on Improved Hopfield Neural Network (IHNN). This IHNN can solve the combinatorial optimization problem with inequality constraints.
