Large magnetoresistance in bcc Co/MgO/Co and FeCo/MgO/FeCo tunneling junctions [PDF]
Phys. Rev. B 70, 172407 (2004), 2004 By use of first-principles electronic structure calculations, we predict that the magnetoresistance of the bcc Co(100)/MgO(100)/bcc Co(100) and FeCo(100)/MgO(100)/FeCo(100) tunneling junctions can be several times larger than the very large magnetoresistance predicted for the Fe(100)/MgO(100)/Fe(100) system.

Ab initio calculations for bromine adlayers on the Ag(100) and Au(100) surfaces: the c(2x2) structure [PDF]
Phys. Rev. B 65, 155406 (2002), 2001 Ab initio total-energy density-functional methods with supercell models have been employed to calculate the c(2x2) structure of the Br-adsorbed Ag(100) and Au(100) surfaces. The atomic geometries of the surfaces and the preferred bonding sites of the bromine have been determined.

Very high thermoelectric power factor in a Fe3O4/SiO2/p-type Si(100)heterostructure [PDF]
Applied Physics Letters 101, 033505 (2012), 2014 The thermoelectric and transport properties of a Fe3O4/SiO2/p-Si(100) heterostructure have been investigated between 100 and 300 K. Both Hall and Seebeck coefficients change sign from negative to positive with increasing temperature while the resistivity drops sharply due to tunneling of carriers into the p-Si(100).
