Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Friction anisotropy at Ni(100)/(100) interfaces: Molecular dynamics studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The friction of surfaces moving relative to each other must derive from the atomic interaction at interfaces. However, recent experiments bring into question the fundamental understanding of this phenomenon.

Modules with Pure Resolutions

open access: yes, 2017
We show that the property of a standard graded algebra R being Cohen-Macaulay is characterized by the existence of a pure Cohen-Macaulay R-module corresponding to any degree sequence of length at most depth(R).
