We report on the experimental study of quadrupole collectivity in the neutron-deficient nucleus \nuc{104}{Sn} using intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation. The $B(E2; 0^+_1 \rightarrow 2^+_1)$ value for the excitation of the first $2^+$ state in \nuc{104}

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Localized photodeposition of catalysts using nanophotonic resonances in silicon photocathodes
Nanostructured semiconductors feature resonant optical modes that confine light absorption in specific areas called “hot spots”. These areas can be used for localized extraction of the photogenerated charges, which in turn could drive chemical reactions ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Remarcs on the shape transition from spherical to deformed gamma unstable nuclei
Energies and transition probabilities for low lying states in $^{134}$Ba and $^{104$Ru were calculated within a hybrid model.The ground and the first $2^+$ states are described alternatively as a harmonic and anharmonic vibrator states while the ...
