137Cs distribution in guava trees [PDF]
This paper presents results of 137 Cs concentration measured from a guava tree cultivated after the first decontamination work of one of the sites where the worst Brazilian radiological accident occurred. The present work aims to verify how the 137 Cs is transported and distributed along the tropical trees.

A Temporally Consistent Spatial Gradient in Methane Ebullition From a Eutrophic Lake
Abstract Gas bubble emission (ebullition) from lake sediment is a prominent source of the greenhouse gas methane (CH4) to the atmosphere, but the stochastic nature of bubble release and thus high variability in space and time makes the estimation of lake CH4 ebullition challenging.

Organic Carbon Burial Rates in Muddy Temperate Shelf Sea Sediments
Abstract Muddy continental shelf sediments act as important sinks for atmospheric CO2 by accumulating organic matter, a small fraction of which is buried and stored as organic carbon (OC) over long timescales. Quantifying long‐term OC burial in shelf sediments is critical for understanding their role in climate regulation; however, this remains ...

Following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident in 2011, tissue samples from wild boar (Sus scrofa) outside the evacuation zone (difficult-to-return zone, DRZ) tended to show high activity concentrations of cesium-137 (137Cs).

Abstract Plant wax hydrogen isotopes (δ2H) preserved in lake sediments provide valuable insights into past climatic changes. However, lake catchments often experience local shifts in vegetation type that can yield distinct isotopic signatures in the sediments, potentially obscuring hydroclimatic signals.
