Ethylene‐Activated E3 Ubiquitin Ligase MdEAEL1 Promotes Apple Fruit Softening by Facilitating the Dissociation of Transcriptional Repressor Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ethylene‐activated MdEAEL1 mediates the disassembly of the MdZFP3‐MdTPL4‐MdHDA19 transcriptional repression complex, upregulating the histone acetylation levels in the promoter regions of cell wall degradation‐related genes, consequently promoting softening during storage.

Outermost Cationic Surface Charge of Layer‐by‐Layer Films Prevents Endothelial Cells Migration for Cell Compartmentalization in Three‐Dimensional Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanometer‐sized artificial basement membrane (A‐BM) is developed to replicate the barrier functions of the basement membrane and prevent cell migration. It is demonstrated that the outermost cationic surface charge of nanofilms can effectively inhibit endothelial cell migration and sprouting, allowing for the construction of 3D patterned vascular ...

MAGEA6 Engages a YY1‐Dependent Transcription to Dictate Perineural Invasion in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of MAGEA6 in perineural invasion (PNI) in colorectal cancer (CRC). MAGEA6 promotes CRC invasiveness by inhibiting YY1 ubiquitination, enhancing CXCL1 secretion, and recruiting Schwann cells. These findings highlight the potential of targeting the MAGEA6/YY1/CXCL1 axis for therapeutic strategies against PNI and tumor ...

Variation and development of the turtle chondrocranium, with a description of the common musk turtle (Sternotherus odoratus, Kinosternidae, Cryptodira, Testudines)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Based on histological cross‐sections, the chondrocranium of the common musk turtle (Sternotherus odoratus) was reconstructed, described, and compared with other turtles. It differs from that of other turtle chondrocrania by possessing elongated, slightly dorsally orientated nasal capsules with three dorsolateral foramina, which might be ...

Highly Absorbent Ultrafast Self‐Gelling Starch Microparticles for Robust Wet‐Tissue Adhesion and Instant Hemostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The aldehyde‐ and catechol‐modified starch (ACS) microparticle (MP) is developed by chemical modifications and freeze‐milling after calcium intercalation for highly absorbent and tissue‐adhesive properties. The ACS‐MP can be self‐gelled upon contact with biological fluids and blood on tissue surfaces, rapidly absorbing them and achieving robust wet ...

Robust Stick‐and‐Play Photothermal Icephobic Film with Bioinspired Insulation Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the seed‐and‐framework structure of lotus seedpods, a photothermal anti‐icing film is developed by embedding thermal‐management hydrophobic microcells (THMC) into PDMS. Combining photothermal/insulating synergy and hydrophobic microcells, it achieves heat accumulation, surface adhesion, and robust anti‐icing under weak light, enabling ...
