Abstract Background Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most commonly isolated bacterium from skin lesions of dogs with post‐grooming furunculosis (PGF). It is frequently found in human hair and skin care products, and may pose a health risk to consumers. Information regarding the prevalence of P. aeruginosa contamination of dog grooming products is lacking.

Reproducibility of serum testing for environmental allergen‐specific IgE in dogs in Europe
Background – Serum testing for allergen‐specific immunoglobulin (Ig)E is commonly employed to identify allergens used for allergen‐specific immunotherapy in dogs, yet the reliability of results has been a matter of debate. Objective – The aim of this study was to evaluate the reproducibility of serum tests for environmental allergen‐specific IgE in ...

Some torsion classes in the Chow ring and cohomology of BPGLn
Abstract In the integral cohomology ring of the classifying space of the projective linear group PGLn (over C), we find a collection of p‐torsion classes yp,k of degree 2(pk+1+1) for any odd prime divisor p of n, and k⩾0. If, in addition, p2∤n, there are p‐torsion classes ρp,k of degree pk+1+1 in the Chow ring of the classifying stack of PGLn, such ...

Serum concentrations of IL‐31 in dogs with nonpruritic mast cell tumours or lymphoma
Background The aim of this study was to compare serum interleukin (IL)‐31 concentrations in dogs with lymphoma and mast cell tumours (MCT) without pruritus to those of healthy dogs. Hypothesis/Objectives To determine if IL‐31 plays a role in tumour pathogenesis and if IL‐31 could be a biological marker for disease progression.

A remark on the Tate conjecture [PDF]
The Tate conjecture has two parts: an assertion (S) about semisimplicity of Galois representations, and an assertion (T) which says that every Tate class is algebraic. We show that in characteristic 0, (T) implies (S).

Some Calabi-Yau fourfolds verifying Voisin's conjecture [PDF]
Motivated by the Bloch-Beilinson conjectures, Voisin has made a conjecture concerning the behaviour of zero-cycles on self-products of Calabi-Yau varieties. This note contains some examples of Calabi-Yau fourfolds verifying Voisin's conjecture.Comment: 8

On the Chow ring of certain rational cohomology tori [PDF]
Let $f: X \rightarrow A$ be an abelian cover from a complex algebraic variety with quotient singularities to an abelian variety. We show that $f^*$ induces an isomorphism between the rational cohomology rings $H^\bullet(A, \mathbb{Q})$ and $H^\bullet(X, \

From exceptional collections to motivic decompositions via noncommutative motives [PDF]
Making use of noncommutative motives we relate exceptional collections (and more generally semi-orthogonal decompositions) to motivic decompositions. On one hand we prove that the Chow motive M(X) of every smooth proper Deligne-Mumford stack X, whose ...

There is no degree map for 0-cycles on Artin stacks
We show that there is no way to define degrees of 0-cycles on Artin stacks with proper good moduli spaces so that (i) the degree of an ordinary point is non-zero, and (ii) degrees are compatible with closed immersions.Comment: 3 ...
