A Formula for the Fréchet Derivative of a Generalized Matrix Function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We state and prove an analogue of the Daleckii--Krein theorem, thus obtaining an explicit formula for the Fréchet derivative of generalized matrix functions.

Accurate solution of structured least squares problems via rank-revealing decompositions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Least squares problems min(x) parallel to b - Ax parallel to(2) where the matrix A is an element of C-mXn (m >= n) has some particular structure arise frequently in applications.

One-Loop Holographic Weyl Anomaly in Six Dimensions

open access: yes, 2017
We compute $\mathcal O(1)$ corrections to the holographic Weyl anomaly for six-dimensional $\mathcal N=(1,0)$ and $(2,0)$ theories using the functional Schr\"odinger method that is conjectured to work for supersymmetric theories on Ricci-flat backgrounds.

Probing singularities in quantum cosmology with curvature scalars

open access: yes, 2010
We provide further evidence that the canonical quantization of cosmological models eliminates the classical Big Bang singularity, using the {\it DeBroglie-Bohm} interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Efficacy of Der f 2/Zen 1‐LAMP1 Plasmid‐Based Vaccine Immunotherapy in Dogs With Atopic Dermatitis: A Proof‐of‐Concept Study

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 306-318, April 2026.
Background: DNA‐based vaccination rapidly induces strong cellular and humoral immune responses, which may be enhanced by inclusion of lysosomal‐associated membrane protein‐1 (LAMP). Objectives: This proof‐of‐concept study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a Der f 2/Zen 1‐LAMP‐based DNA vaccine immunotherapy in client‐owned dogs with nonseasonal AD ...

The condition number associated with ideal lattices from odd prime degree cyclic number fields

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology
The condition number of a generator matrix of an ideal lattice derived from the ring of integers of an algebraic number field is an important quantity associated with the equivalence between two computational problems in lattice-based cryptography, the ...

Conditioning of Leverage Scores and Computation by QR Decomposition

open access: yes, 2015
The leverage scores of a full-column rank matrix A are the squared row norms of any orthonormal basis for range(A). We show that corresponding leverage scores of two matrices A and A + \Delta A are close in the relative sense, if they have large ...

Effect of Gabapentin Administered With Prednisolone, Ciclosporin or a Placebo on Clinical Outcomes and Motor Activity in Cats With Atopic Skin Syndrome: A Prospective, Blinded, Placebo‐Controlled Study

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 6, Page 814-824, December 2025.
Background: Gabapentin reportedly decreases central sensitisation, a disorder associated with chronic pruritus in humans, although this is not well documented in cats. Its combined use with the standard antipruritic therapy for feline atopic skin syndrome (FASS) is not yet described.

Efficacy and Field Safety of Ilunocitinib for the Control of Allergic Dermatitis in Client‐Owned Dogs: A Multicenter, Double‐Masked, Randomised, Placebo‐Controlled Clinical Trial

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 6, Page 825-837, December 2025.
Background: Inhibition of the Janus kinase pathway is an established treatment for allergic dermatitis. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ilunocitinib for control of pruritus in dogs with allergic dermatitis in a randomised, double‐masked clinical trial.

Using colorimetric in situ hybridisation method for FcaPV‐2 to estimate postsurgical prognosis in feline Bowenoid in situ carcinoma

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 83-91, February 2025.
Background – Feline Bowenoid in situ carcinoma (BISC) is frequently associated with Felis catus papillomavirus‐2 (FcaPV‐2). Although surgical excision of BISC is expected to be curative, recurrent lesions are reported and it is not known whether it is a consequence of incomplete surgery or residual viral load.
