Consimilarity and quaternion matrix equations AX −^X B = C, X − A^X B = C
L. Huang [Consimilarity of quaternion matrices and complex matrices, Linear Algebra Appl. 331(2001) 21–30] gave a canonical form of a quaternion matrix with respect to consimilarity transformationsA ↦ ˜S−1AS in which S is a nonsingular quaternion matrix ...

A Study on Commutative Elliptic Octonion Matrices
In this study, firstly notions of similarity and consimilarity are given for commutative elliptic octonion matrices. Then the Kalman-Yakubovich s-conjugate equation is solved for the first conjugate of commutative elliptic octonions. Also, the notions of

Some properties of complex quaternion and complex split quaternion matrices
The aim of this study is to investigate some properties of complex quaternion and complex split quaternion matrices. To verify this, we use 2x2 complex matrix representation of these quaternions.

On the summation of fractional powers of matrices over finite fields
In this paper, we investigate the summation of fractional powers of matrices over finite fields. More specifically, we show how a fractional power of a matrix of a linear transform over a finite field can be obtained from the linear combination of some ...

Similarity relations and exponential of dual-generalized complex matrices
In this study, taking into account the fundamental properties of dual-generalized complex (DGC) matrices, various types of similarity relations are introduced considering coneigenvalues/coneigenvectors via di erent conjugates.

Orthogonality for (0, −1) tropical normal matrices
We study pairs of mutually orthogonal normal matrices with respect to tropical multiplication. Minimal orthogonal pairs are characterized. The diameter and girth of three graphs arising from the orthogonality equivalence relation are computed.

A ring is called negative clean if the negative (i.e., the additive inverse) of each clean element is also clean. Clean rings are negative clean.

Twisted immanant and matrices with anticommuting entries
This article gives a new matrix function named "twisted immanant," which can be regarded as an analogue of the immanant. This is defined for each self-conjugate partition through a "twisted" analogue of the irreducible character of the symmetric group ...

Classification of certain types of maximal matrix subalgebras
Let $M_n(K)$ denote the algebra of $n \times n$ matrices over a field $K$ of characteristic zero. A nonunital subalgebra $N \subset M_n(K)$ will be called a nonunital intersection if $N$ is the intersection of two unital subalgebras of $M_n(K ...

A note on convexity of sections of quaternionic numerical range
The quaternionic numerical range of matrices over the ring of quaternions is not necessarily convex. We prove Toeplitz-Hausdorff like theorem, that is, for any given quaternionic matrix every section of its quaternionic numerical range is convex.
