Cation Mg‐Dominated Coherent Phonon Transport Leads to Anomalous Thermal Conductivity in Mg3Bi2

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 38, October 14, 2025.
Weakly bonded cation Mg atoms in Mg3Bi2 enhance coherent phonon transport, contributing 40% to thermal conductivity at 600 K. A unified theoretical framework and experimental validation reveal that strong anharmonicity from cation Mg suppresses particle‐like transport via four‐phonon scattering.

Corrosion Behavior of Additively Manufactured Steels: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 96, Issue 10, Page 51-79, October 2025.
This review explores the corrosion behavior of various steel types, including austenitic, martensitic, duplex, low‐alloy, and maraging steels, produced via additive manufacturing (AM). It discusses how AM impacts material properties, such as grain structure and the formation of defects like porosity, and highlights the importance of optimizing process ...

Effect of Contours on the Mechanical Behavior of Metal Extrusion Additive Manufacturing Parts: A Study on Notched 17‐4PH Stainless Steel

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 48, Issue 10, Page 4339-4351, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Material extrusion allows for the fabrication of metallic parts with competitive cost and flexibility in setting fabrication parameters. However, the parts contain defects that are due to the deposition route itself and to the removal of polymers during debinding and sintering. These defects affect the mechanical properties.

Effect of seawater intrusion in water-glycol hydraulic fluid on the electrochemical corrosion behavior of carbon steel and stainless steel

open access: yesCorrosion Reviews
Water-glycol hydraulic fluid (HFC) has been applied in deep-sea hydraulic systems owing to its flame retardant and environmental performance. However, the corrosion characteristics of metals in HFC have not been widely investigated.
