Additive manufacturing (AM) transforms space hardware by enabling lightweight, high‐performance, and on‐demand production. This review outlines AM processes—powder bed fusion (PBF), directed energy deposition (DED), binder jetting (BJ), sheet lamination (SL), and material extrusion (ME)—applied to propulsion, satellite structures, and thermal devices ...

Additively manufactured 17–4 PH stainless steels for fracture management devices
Stainless steel 316L (SS316L) is widely used in fracture management devices. However, SS316L does not offer any bacterial infection resistance and can cause metal-ion sensitivity due to Ni-ions’ presence.

Cation Mg‐Dominated Coherent Phonon Transport Leads to Anomalous Thermal Conductivity in Mg3Bi2
Weakly bonded cation Mg atoms in Mg3Bi2 enhance coherent phonon transport, contributing 40% to thermal conductivity at 600 K. A unified theoretical framework and experimental validation reveal that strong anharmonicity from cation Mg suppresses particle‐like transport via four‐phonon scattering.

Corrosion Behavior of Additively Manufactured Steels: A Comprehensive Review
This review explores the corrosion behavior of various steel types, including austenitic, martensitic, duplex, low‐alloy, and maraging steels, produced via additive manufacturing (AM). It discusses how AM impacts material properties, such as grain structure and the formation of defects like porosity, and highlights the importance of optimizing process ...

Corrosion Fatigue of 17-4pH Stainless Steel in a Simulated Sea Water Solution
Since martensitic precipitation hardened 17-4pH stainless steel has been widely used in corrosive environments, evaluation of its corrosion fatigue behavior is important. In this research, after microstructural studies, mechanical, corrosion, fatigue and

ABSTRACT Material extrusion allows for the fabrication of metallic parts with competitive cost and flexibility in setting fabrication parameters. However, the parts contain defects that are due to the deposition route itself and to the removal of polymers during debinding and sintering. These defects affect the mechanical properties.
