Understanding Stress in Undergraduate Dental Education Through Student Perspectives: A Mixed‐Methods Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Dental students experience high levels of stress, which may negatively affect wellbeing, learning and clinical performance. Although stress in dental education is well documented, fewer studies have explored students' perspectives alongside their views on educational practices using mixed‐methods approaches.

A New Extension Theorem for Concave Operators

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2009
We present a new and interesting extension theorem for concave operators as follows. Let be a real linear space, and let be a real order complete PL space. Let the set be convex.

Predicting habitat suitability of selected Meloidae species and future potential refugia: A case study from inner Western Anatolia

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Consensus habitat‐suitability maps identify current hotspots of species richness across the Inner Western Anatolian mountain systems. Late‐century projections (2081–2100) under SSP2‐4.5 and SSP5‐8.5 show range shifts and changing richness patterns, intensifying at higher elevations.

Higher-order Nielsen numbers

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2005
Suppose , are manifolds, are maps. The well-known coincidence problem studies the coincidence set . The number is called the codimension of the problem. More general is the preimage problem.

Translational relevance of rodent models of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal function and stressors in adolescence

open access: yesNeurobiology of Stress, 2017
Elevations in glucocorticoids that result from environmental stressors can have programming effects on brain structure and function when the exposure occurs during sensitive periods that involve heightened neural development. In recent years, adolescence

Quantitative insights into the spatio‐temporal variation of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) biomass in a river catchment using eDNA metabarcoding

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Effective species conservation and management requires comprehensive biomonitoring, enhanced by combining traditional and newer methodologies, such as environmental DNA (eDNA) analyses. A seasonal pulse of spawning adult Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) was detected by normalised eDNA 12S reads from metabarcoding, which facilitated estimation of ...

First Report of ‘Soft Flesh’ Induced by the Parasite Kudoa thyrsites (Myxosporea) in Commercial Codfish From Norway

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, Volume 48, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Kudoa thyrsites is a myxosporean parasite that infects the skeletal muscle of various teleost fish species globally. Severe infections lead to ‘soft flesh’ in fish fillets, resulting in food spoilage and subsequent discard. While K. thyrsites has previously been identified in migratory Atlantic mackerel in the northern Northeast Atlantic Ocean,
