POLIOMYELITIS IN VIRGINIA DURING 1935
PREVIOUS to this year there have been 2 periods in which there was an unusual prevalence of poliomyelitis in Virginia-in 1916 and 1917 when the cases were distributed throughout the state, and in 1929, when cases occurred particularly in the southwest section. There are on record 345 cases in 1916; 318 in 1917; and 325 in 1929.

Abstract Consistent with the standard model of time discounting, subscription firms typically offer introductory discounts early in the subscription. However, we demonstrate that consumers are more likely to prefer a delayed discount when the discount is expressed in the same unit as the recurring price (e.g., “$10, $10, $5”).
