Flexible ionic pressure sensors: From migration‐electronic mechanisms to emerging iontronic paradigms

open access: yesInfoMat, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
Mechanisms, materials, structures, and applications of the FIPSs. Abstract Flexible ionic pressure sensors (FIPS) have emerged as promising candidates for bridging the gap between electronics and biologically compatible interfaces. Unlike previous reviews, which focused primarily on materials or devices, this review presents a classification of FIPS ...

Strain‐Induced Morphological Transitions in Model Amphiphilic Polymer Conetwork Bulk Melts: A Computational Study

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
Model amphiphilic polymer conetwork bulk melts self‐organize into spheroidal, cylindrical or lamellar (either normal or parallel) morphologies, depending on their polymer composition and deformation ratio. However, elongation largely favors transformation into normal lamellae, a result of the decreasing interfacial area accompanying tension. Similarly,

Engineering Nanocellulose Scaffolds: Property Modification Strategies and Mechanotransduction‐Driven Tissue Outcomes

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Nanocellulose is being increasingly used in biomedical applications because of its biocompatibility, mechanical robustness, tunable surface chemistry, and adjustable rheology. This review evaluates recent strategies for engineering cellulose nanofibrils, nanocrystals, and bacterial nanocellulose into cell‐instructive scaffolds for skin, bone ...

High‐Yield Assembly of Plasmon‐Coupled Nanodiamonds Using DNA Origami for Tuned Emission

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Engineering assemblies of single‐photon emitters and plasmonic elements with nanometer precision opens pathways for quantum sensing and photonics applications. A surface functionalization strategy is established for grafting DNA onto nanodiamonds, and their placement on DNA origami is optimized to achieve yields above 50%.

Anogenital Contact Dermatitis in Spain: A REIDAC Study of Patients Undergoing Patch Testing in 2019–2024

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 3, Page 272-285, March 2026.
Allergic contact dermatitis is very common in patients with anogenital lesions referred for patch testing in Spain. Key allergens include fragrances, preservatives and topical treatments like anaesthetics and steroids. Emerging sensitisers including benzisothiazolinone and sodium metabisulphite are also relevant.

Genetic Insights Into Allergic Contact Dermatitis: Reassessing the Role of LCE3C_LCE3B Deletion

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 3, Page 226-233, March 2026.
This study found no significant association between the LCE3C_LCE3B deletion and allergic contact dermatitis or polysensitisation in Tunisian patients, suggesting that other genetic or environmental factors may contribute to disease susceptibility. ABSTRACT Background Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a multifactorial inflammatory skin disorder ...
