NMR spectra of 2‐pyrone and 2‐pyrone derivatives

AbstractAn analysis of the complex NMR spectrum of 2‐pyrone is presented and the spectra of a series of variously substituted 2‐pyrones and 5,6‐dihydro‐2‐pyrones are discussed. It is demonstrated that NMR spectroscopy affords a convenient and reliable method of assigning the position of substituents on the 2‐pyrone nucleus.

AbstractVinylessigsäure (I) reagiert mit Formaldehyd (II) in siedendem Eisessig ′in Gegenwart von konz. Schwefelsäure in bescheidenen Ausbeuten zum 5;6‐Dihydro‐2‐pyron (III), das nach Bromierung mit n‐Bromsuccinimid (V) in Tetrachlorkohlenstoff zu (VI) und Dehydrobromierung mit Triäthylamin 2‐Pyron (VII) ergibt.

Phenyl derivatives of 2-pyrone

Several phenyl dichloropentadienyl ketones containing a hydroxy or methoxy group in the benzene ring as well as a number of 2-pyrones based on them were synthesized. The possibility of the conversion of the latter to the corresponding 2-pyridones on heating them with ammonium salts is demonstrated.

AbstractDie Synthese und gerinnungsphysiologische Wirkung von 9 Titelverbindungen wird beschrieben. Nach einmaliger oraler Verabreichung von 330 mg/kg an Ratten wurden bei 6 Substanzen Prothrombinspiegel von weniger als 15% gefunden. Bei zwei Substanzen war dies auch noch bei einer Dosis von 165 mg/kg der Fall.
