Background – A rebound of pruritus occasionally occurs after oclacitinib dose reduction in dogs with atopic dermatitis (AD). Objectives – To determine whether an initial 4‐day course of prednisolone decreases the probability of a pruritus rebound after reducing the frequency of oclacitinib administration.

Abstract Background Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most commonly isolated bacterium from skin lesions of dogs with post‐grooming furunculosis (PGF). It is frequently found in human hair and skin care products, and may pose a health risk to consumers. Information regarding the prevalence of P. aeruginosa contamination of dog grooming products is lacking.

Treatment of equine sarcoids using recombinant poxviruses expressing feline interleukin‐2
Background – Interleukin (IL)‐2 stimulates antitumour immunity and is successfully used for the treatment of different neoplasias. Hypothesis/Objectives –Canarypox virus locally expressing feline IL‐2 is safe and can be used to treat equine sarcoids. Conclusions –Treatment of equine sarcoids with recombinant canarypox virus expressing feline IL‐2 seems

Background– Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) may cause suppurative otitis externa with severe inflammation and ulceration in dogs. Multidrug resistance is commonly reported for this organism, creating a difficult therapeutic challenge. Objective– The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of a gel containing 0.5 µg/mL of ...

Subgroups of arbitrary even ordinary depth
We show that for each positive integer $n$, there are a group $G$ and a subgroup $H$ such that the ordinary depth is $d(H, G) = 2n$. This solves the open problem posed by Lars Kadison whether even ordinary depth larger than $6$ can occur.Comment: 9 pages;

Classifying Families of Character Degree Graphs of Solvable Groups [PDF]
We investigate prime character degree graphs of solvable groups. In particular, we consider a family of graphs $\Gamma_{k,t}$ constructed by adjoining edges between two complete graphs in a one-to-one fashion.

Total characters and Chebyshev polynomials
The total character τ of a finite group G is defined as the sum of all the irreducible characters of G. K. W. Johnson asks when it is possible to express τ as a polynomial with integer coefficients in a single irreducible character. In this paper, we give a complete answer to Johnson′s question for all finite dihedral groups.

Maximal representation dimension of finite p-groups [PDF]
The representation dimension of a finite group G is the smallest positive integer m for which there exists an embedding of G in GL_m(C). In this paper we find the largest value of representation dimensions, as Granges over all groups of order p^n, for a ...

On the projective height zero conjecture
Recently, Malle and Navarro put forward a projective version of Brauer's celebrated height zero conjecture on blocks of finite groups. In this short note we show that Brauer's original conjecture implies the projective version.Comment: 2 ...
