Modified rush venom immunotherapy in dogs with Hymenoptera hypersensitivity
Background – Hymenoptera envenomation occurs frequently in people and dogs and can trigger anaphylaxis. Venom immunotherapy (VIT) is the only preventative treatment for Hymenoptera hypersensitivity and is indicated for people with severe adverse reactions to insect stings. Rush VIT is an accelerated VIT induction schedule performed in people.

Background – Glycerinated allergen extracts contain 50% glycerin, an excellent preservative. While glycerin is a recognised irritant in humans, the utility of glycerinated extracts for intradermal testing has not been validated in dogs. Hypothesis/Objective – To determine and compare the effects of glycerin on immediate cutaneous reactions to ...

Abstract Parenting interventions can improve parenting outcomes, with widespread implications for children's developmental trajectories. Relational savoring (RS) is a brief attachment‐based intervention with high potential for dissemination. Here we examine data from a recent intervention trial in order to isolate the mechanisms by which savoring ...

Treatment of equine sarcoids using recombinant poxviruses expressing feline interleukin‐2
Background – Interleukin (IL)‐2 stimulates antitumour immunity and is successfully used for the treatment of different neoplasias. Hypothesis/Objectives –Canarypox virus locally expressing feline IL‐2 is safe and can be used to treat equine sarcoids. Conclusions –Treatment of equine sarcoids with recombinant canarypox virus expressing feline IL‐2 seems

Monoids over which all weakly flat acts are flat [PDF]
If R is a ring with identity and M is a left R-module then it is well known that the following statements are equivalent: (1) M is flat. (2) The functor—⊗ M preserves embeddings of right ideals into R.

The Efficiency of the Semi-Direct Products of Free Abelian Monoid with Rank n by the Infinite Cyclic Monoid [PDF]
In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the efficiency of the semi-direct product of free abelian monoid with rank n by the infinite cyclic ...

On categorical aspects of S -quantales
S-quantales are characterized as injective objects in the category of S-posets with respect to certain class of homomorphisms that are order-preserving mappings. This paper is devoted to exhibitions of categorical structures on S-quantales.

Cross-connections and variants of the full transformation semigroup [PDF]
Cross-connection theory propounded by K. S. S. Nambooripad describes the ideal structure of a regular semigroup using the categories of principal left (right) ideals.

Covers of acts over monoids II [PDF]
In 1981 Edgar Enochs conjectured that every module has a flat cover and finally proved this in 2001. Since then a great deal of effort has been spent on studying different types of covers, for example injective and torsion free covers.

On homological classification of pomonoids by GP-po-flatness of S-posets
In this paper, we introduce GP-po-flatness property of S-posets over a pomonoid S, which lies strictly between principal weak po-flatness and po-torsion freeness.
