Modified rush venom immunotherapy in dogs with Hymenoptera hypersensitivity
Background – Hymenoptera envenomation occurs frequently in people and dogs and can trigger anaphylaxis. Venom immunotherapy (VIT) is the only preventative treatment for Hymenoptera hypersensitivity and is indicated for people with severe adverse reactions to insect stings. Rush VIT is an accelerated VIT induction schedule performed in people.

Background – Glycerinated allergen extracts contain 50% glycerin, an excellent preservative. While glycerin is a recognised irritant in humans, the utility of glycerinated extracts for intradermal testing has not been validated in dogs. Hypothesis/Objective – To determine and compare the effects of glycerin on immediate cutaneous reactions to ...

Abstract Parenting interventions can improve parenting outcomes, with widespread implications for children's developmental trajectories. Relational savoring (RS) is a brief attachment‐based intervention with high potential for dissemination. Here we examine data from a recent intervention trial in order to isolate the mechanisms by which savoring ...

Treatment of equine sarcoids using recombinant poxviruses expressing feline interleukin‐2
Background – Interleukin (IL)‐2 stimulates antitumour immunity and is successfully used for the treatment of different neoplasias. Hypothesis/Objectives –Canarypox virus locally expressing feline IL‐2 is safe and can be used to treat equine sarcoids. Conclusions –Treatment of equine sarcoids with recombinant canarypox virus expressing feline IL‐2 seems

Permutation of elements in double semigroups [PDF]
Double semigroups have two associative operations $\circ, \bullet$ related by the interchange relation: $( a \bullet b ) \circ ( c \bullet d ) \equiv ( a \circ c ) \bullet ( b \circ d )$. Kock \cite{Kock2007} (2007) discovered a commutativity property in

Directed colimits of some flatness properties and purity of epimorphisms in S-posets
Let S be a pomonoid. In this paper, we introduce some new types of epimorphisms with certain purity conditions, and obtain equivalent descriptions of various flatness properties of S-posets, such as strong flatness, Conditions (E), (E′), (P), (Pw), (WP),

The algebra of rewriting for presentations of inverse monoids [PDF]
We describe a formalism, using groupoids, for the study of rewriting for presentations of inverse monoids, that is based on the Squier complex construction for monoid presentations.

Cross-connections of the singular transformation semigroup [PDF]
Cross-connection is a construction of regular semigroups using certain categories called normal categories which are abstractions of the partially ordered sets of principal left (right) ideals of a semigroup.

A criterion for reflectiveness of normal extensions [PDF]
We give a new sufficient condition for the normal extensions in an admissible Galois structure to be reflective. We then show that this condition is indeed fulfilled when X is the (protomodular) reflective subcategory of S-special objects of a Barr-exact

A correspondence between a class of monoids and self-similar group actions II [PDF]
The first author showed in a previous paper that there is a correspondence between self-similar group actions and a class of left cancellative monoids called left Rees monoids.
