Influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance and advantages of restricting antimicrobial use based on cumulative antibiograms in dogs with Staphylococcus pseudintermedius infections in Japan

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 668-e178, December 2021., 2021
Background Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (SP) and the prevalence of meticillin‐resistant SP (MRSP) is increasing in dogs worldwide. Objectives To evaluate the influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance of SP and whether restricted use of antimicrobials based on antibiograms could reduce the identification of ...

Pentagonal quasigroups, their translatability and parastrophes

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2021
Any pentagonal quasigroup QQ is proved to have the product xy=φ(x)+y−φ(y)xy=\varphi \left(x)+y-\varphi (y), where (Q,+)\left(Q,+) is an Abelian group, φ\varphi is its regular automorphism satisfying φ4−φ3+φ2−φ+ε=0{\varphi }^{4}-{\varphi }^{3}+{\varphi }^

Order of Finite Soft Quasigroups with Application to Egalitarianism

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications, 2022
In this work, a soft set (F, A) was introduced over a quasigroup (Q,) and the study of finite soft quasigroup was carried out, motivated by the study of algebraic structures of soft sets.

Half-isomorphisms of Moufang loops [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We prove that if the squaring map in the factor loop of a Moufang loop $Q$ over its nucleus is surjective, then every half-isomorphism of $Q$ onto a Moufang loop is either an isomorphism or an anti-isomorphism.

Medial quasigroups of prime square order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We prove that, for any prime $p$, there are precisely $2p^4-p^3-p^2-3p-1$ medial quasigroups of order $p^2$, up to ...

A Note On Transversals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Let $G$ be a finite group and $H$ a core-free subgroup of $G$. We will show that if there exists a solvable, generating transversal of $H$ in $G$, then $G$ is a solvable group. Further, if $S$ is a generating transversal of $H$ in $G$ and $S$ has order 2

An introduction to loopoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We discuss a concept of loopoid as a non-associative generalization of (Brandt) groupoid. We introduce and study also an interesting class of more general objects which we call semiloopoids.

Algebraic loop structures on algebra comultiplications

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, we study the algebraic loop structures on the set of Lie algebra comultiplications. More specifically, we investigate the fundamental concepts of algebraic loop structures and the set of Lie algebra comultiplications which have inversive ...

In vitro antimicrobial activity of a gel containing antimicrobial peptide AMP2041, chlorhexidine digluconate and Tris‐EDTA on clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from canine otitis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 27, Issue 5, Page 391-e98, October 2016., 2016
Background– Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) may cause suppurative otitis externa with severe inflammation and ulceration in dogs. Multidrug resistance is commonly reported for this organism, creating a difficult therapeutic challenge. Objective– The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of a gel containing 0.5 µg/mL of ...

Combinatorial polarization, code loops, and codes of high level

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 29, Page 1533-1541, 2004., 2004
We first find the combinatorial degree of any map f : V → F, where F is a finite field and V is a finite‐dimensional vector space over F. We then simplify and generalize a certain construction, due to Chein and Goodaire, that was used in characterizing code loops as finite Moufang loops that possess at most two squares.
