Analysis of 210Pb peak values at Mt. Cimone (1998 - 2011)
The present study analyses the peak 210Pb activity concentrations observed all over the 1998-2011 period at the WMO-GAW high altitude site of Mt.

De Rerum Natura: How Do Halide Perovskites Self‐Heal From Damage?
How can lead‐halide‐perovskites self‐heal after damage from light, heat, mechanical strain, or radiation? We show that reversible chemical defects underly performance losses and recovery, highlighting the roles of halide and proton migration, redox‐driven reactions, and acid‐base equilibria.

Environmental applications of 210Po and 210Pb in the Brazilian Amazon and other sites
210Po is an intermediary member of the natural mass number (4n+2) 238U decay series that finishes at a stable 206Pb, according to the sequence: 238U (4.49 Ga, a) ® 234Th(24.1 d, b-) ® 234Pa (1.18 min, b- ) ® 234U (0.248 Ma, a) ® 230Th (75.2 ka, a ...

ABSTRACT Sedimentary charcoal elongation is increasingly being used in paleoecology to distinguish herbaceous from woody fuel in past fires. However, the relationship between charcoal morphotypes and plant types has never been formally tested in tropical environments, despite its potential to improve understanding of fire regimes and deforestation, and

Radiolead (210Pb) and stable lead in the lichen Cladonia alpestris
Lichens of the genus Cladonia, mainly C. alpestris, collected during 1882-1972 were analyzed for stable lead and 210Pb. The specific activity of 210Pb (210Pb/Pb ratio) indicates a constant value of about 2 mCi/kg up to 1940, and then decreased to 0.6 mCi/

Abstract Benthic iron (Fe) fluxes from coastal sediments support phytoplankton blooms downstream of subpolar islands. We combine solid‐phase and pore‐water geochemical data, including its iron isotopic signature (δ56Feaq), to identify the main drivers of benthic Fe fluxes from sub‐Antarctic fjord and shelf sediments of South Georgia, and to evaluate ...
