Transformation Characteristics and Properties of B Steel 22MnB5
Abstract Continuous cooling transformation characteristics of steel 22MnB5 were studied in detail using dilatometer method. The influence of hot forming procedure parameters, such as heating rate, austenizing temperature, and holding time on microstructure transition was analyzed. Microhardness was tested afterwards.

Paint baking of resistance spot welded joints of 2.0 GPa warm‐stamped medium‐Mn steel activates low‐temperature tempering, forming fine cementite in the fusion zone and enhancing toughness. Crack propagation resistance increases, shifting the failure mode from partial interfacial to complete pullout, with peak load and energy absorption rising ...

The subject of this work is the development of a corrosion‐protective coating on steel sheets for form hardening. Rapid heating in an extreme high vacuum (XHV)‐adequate atmosphere is a useful method to prevent oxidation during alloying of 22MnB5 and aluminum to obtain a metallurgical bonding.

Press hardening is widely employed to produce automotive structural and safety components from advanced high‐strength steels. This process depends on friction between the forming tools and the work piece. Wear of the forming tools affects the dimensional accuracy of produced components and reduces their service life. It is therefore desirable to reduce
