Investigation of the 232Th and 238U photofission
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2009The average angular momenta of the 84Br, 132Sb, 133Te, and 135Xe fission fragments, produced as a result of 232Th and 238U photofission by bremmsstrahlung γ photons with an endpoint energy of 8.5 MeV, have been determined by measuring the isomeric yield ratios.

Radiationless transition probabilities in muonic208Pb,232Th, and238U
Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and Nuclei, 1991The probabilities for non-radiative (n.r.) excitationsP n.r. in the muonic nuclides208Pb,232Th, and238U have been determined from (μ−,γγ)-measurements by comparing the intensities of muonic X-ray transitions in single and coincidence spectra. The value ofP n.r.

Fast neutron capture in 238U and 232Th
Journal of Nuclear Energy (1954), 1959Abstract The cross-sections for neutron capture in 238U and 232Th have been measured by an activation method for mono-kinetic incident neutrons in the energy range 30–1000 keV.

DAILY INTAKES OF 232Th and 238U IN JAPANESE MALES
Health Physics, 1992Diet samples were collected by a duplicate portion method from 31 locations in Japan and were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Average daily intakes per adult male were estimated at 1.7 mBq for 232Th and 8.8 mBq for 238U.

Charge distribution in the fission of 232Th
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1968Abstract The yield of ten shielded or quasi-shielded nuclides in the fission of 232Th by 9·5 MeV and 11·3 MeV protons and 11·5 MeV deuterons has been determined in order to study the distribution of nuclear charge. Various mass formulae, neutron distribution functions and postulates of charge distribution functions and postulates of charge ...

Analysis of 232Th(n,2n) reaction data
Annals of Nuclear Energy, 1992Abstract The 232 Th(n,2n) cross-section is calculated up to 20 MeV. The energy dependence obtained is consistent with (n,f) reaction data and the newest data on (n,2n) reactions.

Mass Distribution in 12C Induced Fission of 232Th
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2000Abstract Formation cross sections of several fission products have been determined using recoil catcher technique followed by gamma-ray spectrometry in 12C induced fission of 232Th at E lab = 72 MeV, corresponding to E cm just above the Coulomb barrier.

Absolute (p, xn) cross-section measurements on 232Th
Nuclear Physics A, 1974Abstract Excitation functions have been measured for both the (p, 6n) and (p, 7n) reactions on 232 Th at incident energies up to 100 MeV using the external beam of the McGill synchrocyclotron. The natural activity of the target material is used to determine the target thickness, making it unnecessary to use monitor foils, or to carry out chemical ...

Symmetric fission of 232Th by 14 MeV neutrons
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1968The fission yields of seven nuclides in 14·8 MeV neutron-induced fission of 232Th, mostly in the symmetric fission region are determined radiochemically and the existence of a third peak in this mass-yield curve is confirmed with further evidence.
