Natural radioactivity of some spring and bottled mineral waters from several central Balkan sites, as a way of their characterization [PDF]
In this work, a study of the radioactive content of some spring and bottled mineral waters originating frommetamorphic rock areas was carried out.Ahigh content of radium isotopes (226Ra, 228Ra), was found by radiometric analysis in the spring waters ...

Radioactivity concentrations and dose characteristics of granite stones [PDF]
We obtained the radionuclide concentrations of 238U, 232Th, and 40K in various samples of the granite stones by measuring with a high efficiency NaI(Tl) (10.16 cm x 10.16 cm) scintillation detector.

232Th(d,xn)230,232,233Pa Cross Section Measurements [PDF]
Cross sections for the (d,n), (d,2n) and (d,4n) reactions on 232Th were measured using the stackedfoil technique with beams provided by the ARRONAX cyclotron. These data are of relevance for the production of radionuclides. The measured cross sections were compared with previous measurements as well as with theoretical calculations using the code TALYS.

Rotational band crossings in 232Th
Abstract The alignment of i 13 2 protons and j 15 2 neutrons in rotating actinide nuclei gives rise to quasiparticle bands that cross the ground-state configuration. Coulomb excitation of 232Th provides evidence for both crossings.

The activity concentrations of 40K, 226Ra, 232Th, 238U and 7Be in moss from spas in eastern Serbia in the period 2000-2012 [PDF]
In this work we present the activity concentrations of natural radionuclides 40K, 226Ra, 232Th, 238U and 7Be in mosses. One hundred and sixty-seven moss samples were collected between 2001 and 2012 from the territory of the Sokobanja, Banja ...

Choosing an appropriate method for measurement of 232Th in environmental samples
The article discusses the anomalies in using gamma spectrometry for the determination of 232Th in environmental samples against other methods. 232Th in environmental samples (soil, sediment, etc.,) is measured using several techniques, the most commonly ...

Inelastic scattering of 84Kr from 232Th
Abstract Inelastic scattering of 84 Kr on 232 Th has been measured at E =371 and 450 MeV and at different angles using the particle-gamma coincidence technique. It is found that for distances of closest approach smaller than about 20 fm the scattering of Kr on Th is mostly inelastic.

Evaluation of 232Th and 237Np fast neutron-induced fission cross sections by simultaneous evaluation approach [PDF]
The neutron-induced fission cross sections for 232Th and 237Np were evaluated from 500 keV to 200 MeV and from 70 keV to 200 MeV, respectively. The experimental fission cross sections for 232Th and 237Np, as well as their ratios to the 235,238U, and ...
