The FAM57A (family with sequence similarity 57 member A) gene is controversially discussed to possess pro- or anti-tumorigenic potential. Here, we analyze the regulation of cellular FAM57A protein levels and study the functional role of FAM57A in HPV ...

The discrete dynamics of small-scale spatial events: agent-based models of mobility in carnivals and street parades [PDF]
Small-scale spatial events are situations in which elements or objects vary in such away that temporal dynamics is intrinsic to their representation and explanation. Someof the clearest examples involve local movement from conventional traffic modelingto

Magnetic anisotropy terms in [110] MBE grown REFe2 films involving the strain term ??? [PDF]
The magnetic anisotropy parameters in [110] MBE grown films of REFe2 compounds are not the same as those in the bulk. This is due to the presence of a shear strain εxy, frozen in during crystal growth.

Sex Differences in Medication Discontinuation in Axial Spondyloarthritis
Objective We examined sex differences in medication discontinuation among patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) initiating tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi), interleukin‐17 inhibitors (IL‐17i), or JAK inhibitors (JAKi). Methods Using data from the Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness (RISE) Registry (2003–2025), we assessed ...

Proposal of mechanics of liquid crystals and development of liquid crystalline microactuators [PDF]
We propose a research field “mechanics of liquid crystals,” in which liquid crystals are studied from a mechanical viewpoint. The unsteady behaviors of a liquid crystal between parallel plates under an electric field are investigated.

The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.
