Surfing the Color Map with Carbazole‐Appended Cyclometalated N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Pt Complexes and Their Application in Green Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

Complexes [PtII(Cbz‐C^C*bzim/im)(L^L)], bearing carbazole‐appended cyclometalated NHCs, show bright phosphorescence, peaking from the blue to the yellowish–green spectral range depending on the carbene, L^L, and doping concentration. The Importance of Metal Ion Impurity Bands in the Photoluminescence of Halide Double Perovskites

Many publications have associated emission spectral features of double perovskite halides in the region at 460–470 nm with “pristine” materials. This leads to not only false observations but also incorrect conclusions concerning the transformation of dark into bright excitons or boosting self‐trapped exciton emission.

Large Electrogyration Effect in Ferroaxial NiTiO3 at Near Infrared Wavelengths

A large electrogyration effect (electric field‐induced optical rotation) is observed in a ferroaxial crystal NiTiO3 at near infrared wavelengths. The Ni2+ d‐d transitions, featuring strong magnetic dipole character, play an important role in producing the pronounced effect.
