Characterization and Modeling of Through Silicon Via (TSV) and its Impact on 3D Circuits and Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Performance of deep-sub micrometer Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) circuits is being increasingly dominated by global interconnects due to decreasing wire pitch and increasing die size. Additionally, smaller foot print and heterogeneous integration of

A Bioinspired Sensory‐CAPode With Dual Functionality: Logic Gate and Real‐Time Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An electrochemical capacitor diode (CAPode) redefines the frontier of iontronics by seamlessly unifying logic computing and biosensing within a single biocompatible platform. Inspired by nature's own ion‐channel circuitry, this elegant ionic system transforms complex chemical signals into precise electrical responses, paving the way for next‐generation

Motif Editing for Reaction Pathway Switching From Formate to CO in Single‐Atom Indium Catalysts via Adjacent Carbon Site Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents manipulation of adjacent carbon site in single‐atom indium catalysts via editing In‐N4 motif to In‐N2O2 for reaction pathway switching. Incorporation of O atoms leads to significant electron enrichment on the adjacent carbon sites surrounding the In‐N2O2 motif, which facilitates *COOH adsorption and CO formation with high selectivity.

Non‐Volatile Resistive Switching in Nanoscaled Elemental Tellurium by Vapor Transport Deposition on Gold

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Two‐dimensional (2D) materials are promising for resistive switching in neuromorphic and in‐memory computing, as their atomic thickness substantially improve the energetic budget of the device and circuits.

An In Situ Oxidation Strategy for Ti3C2@TiO2 Heterojunction: Narrow‐Band Photodetection and Trace Chromium Ion Determination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Ti3C2@TiO2 heterostructure has been successfully fabricated by an in situ oxidation approach. The as‐fabricated Ti3C2@TiO2‐based photodetector exhibits narrow‐spectrum response with excellent stability. It also realizes sensitive Cr(VI) detection in a large concentration range of 10−12–10−6 M with an ultra‐low detection limit of 7.6 × 10−12 M ...

Effect of oxide interface roughness on the threshold voltage fluctuations in decanano MOSFETs with ultrathin gate oxides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In this paper we use the density gradient (DG) simulation approach to study, in 3D, the effect of local oxide thickness fluctuations on the threshold voltage of decanano MOSFETs on a statistical scale.

Three‐Dimensional Biomimetic Aerogel Conduits with Electro‐Ionic‐Immune Coupling Reverse the Pathological Cascade of Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic aerogel conduit was engineered from a nanofiber of gelatin/poly(l‐lactic acid) doped with polypyrrole nanoparticles, integrated with tannic acid and Mg2+. This “electro‐ionic‐immune” strategy mimicked spinal cord properties, reduced calcium overload, inflammation, oxidative damage, promoted neural stem cell differentiation, suppressed ...

High-Performance Nanogap Photodetectors Based on 2D Halide Perovskites with a Novel Spacer Cation [PDF]

open access: yes
2D Ruddlesden─Popper (RP) halide perovskites are attracting increasing research interest due to their enhanced stability compared to 3D perovskites. However, the quantum confinement effect of bulk organic spacers hinders the separation and transport of ...

Dynamical analysis of lump, breather, M-shaped and other wave profiles propagating in a nonlinear PDE describing the nonlinear low-pass electrical transmission lines

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this work, we present a complete dynamical analysis of lump, breather, M-shaped, and other waveforms propagating in a nonlinear PDE governing nonlinear low-pass electrical transmission lines. We utilize the Hirota bilinear transformation approach with
