FRACTAL STRUCTURE OF 2d - QUANTUM GRAVITY
Modern Physics Letters A, 1988We resolve renormalization problems, indicated in Ref. 1 and find explicit formulae for the spectrum of anomalous dimensions in 2d—quantum gravity. Comparison with combinatorial approximation of random surfaces and its numerical analyses shows complete agreement with all known facts.

MULTICRITICALITY IN STABILIZED 2D QUANTUM GRAVITY
Modern Physics Letters A, 1992We study the simplest perturbation of the matrix model for pure gravity susceptible of reaching the k=3 multicritical point in the framework of the stochastic stabilization of 2D quantum gravity. We show the existence of a line of points in the phase diagram with the genuine critical behavior of the k=2 theory.

The physical subspace of the SL (2, R) current algebra based model of induced 2d gravity is investigated. Using an appropriate ground state, an equation guaranteeing the non-negativity of this subspace is derived using a BRS analysis. In case of the ground state allowing the derivation of simple differential equations for the correlation functions the

PERTURBATIVE FINITENESS OF 2D INDUCED QUANTUM GRAVITY
Modern Physics Letters A, 1992The divergences structure of the local 2D induced quantum gravity in the generally covariant gauge of the general type is considered. It is shown that for the particular choice of this gauge the effective action is perturbatively finite. This fact is in full agreement with the fact that the theory is exactly solvable.

FIRST ORDER, 2D, EINSTEIN GRAVITIES
International Journal of Modern Physics D, 1996The Palatini variational method breaks down in 2D: First order forms of the Einstein action do not fix the affinity completely, as they possess an additional, Weyl, invariance absent in the second order versions.

To any finite order in perturbation theory, one does not see any of the interesting nonperturbative properties of gauge theories, such as confinement, tunneling, formation of strings, etc. As a consequence, two approximations have been developed, large N methods and lattice gauge theory, to analyze gauge theories in the nonperturbative regime. However,
