Waveguide 3-D FSSs by 3-D printing technique

2016 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2016
In this paper, two novel bandpass three-dimensional frequency selective surfaces (3-D FSSs) based on the waveguide structure are proposed. The first 3-D FSS is composed of a square metallic waveguide with dumbbell slots which are loaded in all waveguide walls.

3-D printed bulk absorbers

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2020
We present results from our recent efforts on the fabrication and acoustic characterization of 3-D printed porous absorbers. The acoustic properties of porous structures are dependent on their cellular microstructural architecture. Thus, controlling their local and global cellular architecture can allow a significant control over the acoustic ...

3-D Printing Processes for Biomedical Applications

2022
In the recent decade, the process of 3-D printing surfaced as one of the fast growing areas of research, with contributions in various areas of engineering as well as medicine. It has become one of the most in demand and cost efficient methods for fabricating components with complex geometries. The technique of 3-D printing can be used for all kinds of

3-D Printed Polymer MEMS

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2016
This paper describes fabrication of complex 3-D printed Polymer MEMS Devices. Since geometric complexity is not a concern for 3-D printing, complex 3D microfluidics, MEMS and lab-on-a-chip devices can be easily fabricated that are otherwise time consuming and difficult to manufacture with state of the art 2-D MEMS fabrication technology. Furthermore, 3-

Automated Hybrid 3-D Printing of 3-D Meandering Interconnects

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
In this paper, a completely automated computer-aided design (CAD)-to-print process flow for hybrid direct-write 3-D printing (3DP) was produced. We adapted this capability to manufacture a meandering conductive trace formed into a meandering arbitrary interconnect in the shape of a 3-D pretzel that is completely embedded in dielectric.
