The Effect of Regioisomerism on the TADF Properties of Organic Dyes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
The properties of TADF emitters are highly dependent on the chosen electron donor and acceptor, as well as the π‐system that links them together. Herein, we show that regioisomerism affects the physical properties of spirobifluorene‐based systems in solution, thin films and crystals.

The Use of Deep Eutectic Solvents for the Synthesis of Iron Oxides Nanoparticles: A Driving Force for Materials Properties

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) structurally directed the growth of technologically relevant Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (IONs) towards magnetic (magnetite) or non‐magnetic (hematite) crystal structures, according to their intrinsic properties. Abstract In this study, we explored the use of Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) as a green and sustainable ...

DNA‐binding properties of non‐intercalating water‐soluble organometallic Ir(III) luminophores

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
A series of Ir(III) complexes, [Ir(C^N)2(en)]+ (where C^N = 2‐phenyl‐benzo[d]thiazolyl cyclometalating ligand; en = ethylene diamine), are reported with structural variation via a substituent (H, Me, OMe, Cl, OCF3) at the coordinated phenyl ring.

Design and Evaluation of Bivalent K‐Ras Inhibitors that Target the CAAX Binding Site and the Acidic Surface of Farnesyltransferase and Geranylgeranyltransferase I

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
Mutant K‐Ras drives cancer through its membrane localization, which requires post‐translational modification by farnesyltransferase (FTase). FTase attaches farnesyl to the K‐Ras C‐terminal CVIM tetrapeptide, enabling membrane binding. However, K‐Ras can also undergo compensatory geranylgeranylation by geranylgeranyltransferase I (GGTase I), making ...
