Geometrical and Electronic Structure of Fluorinated and Non‐Fluorinated Platinum(II) Tetraphenylporphyrin Complexes

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
The experimental gas‐phase geometries of two platinum complexes, free from intermolecular interactions, can serve as references for related complexes in the crystalline state or solution. A significant electron density transfer from the porphyrin backbone to the platinum ion make it extremely low positive charged at +0.5 e.

Evaluating Aromaticity in Ag6Ru and Ag10Ru as Electron Precise Superatom Clusters

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Accepted Article.
In this work, we evaluate the superatomic characteristics of the favorable global minima of electron precise clusters, leading to stable species featuring catalytic reactive sites and inherent aromaticity in both planar and spherical realms. The results show that Ag6Ru exhibits an electron precise 10‐electron 1S21Px,y41Dxy,x2−y24 planar superatomic ...

Photophysical and Time‐resolved Infrared Properties of Long‐Lived Rhenium(I) 4,5‐Diazafluorene Tricarbonyl Chromophores

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
This study investigates how using 4,5‐diazafluorene as the diimine ligand in ReI tricarbonyl complexes enhances the emission quantum yields and increases their emission energies compared to traditional bpy and phen analogs. A newly developed nanosecond time‐resolved mid‐IR spectroscopic method was developed to monitor the transiently oxidized metal ...

Rethinking Chlorine: Essential Chemical or Replaceable Risk?

open access: yesChemSusChem, Accepted Article.
This review critically examines the dual nature of chlorine as both an indispensable base chemical and a potential risk. Chlorine and its by‐product hydrogen chloride play essential roles in the production of pharmaceuticals, plastics, agrochemicals, and disinfectants.

In situ loading of a pore network model for quantitative characterization and visualization of gas seepage in coal rocks

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Fine modeling of a three‐dimensional fracture structure under dynamic loading of coal is carried out. The streamline distribution law of pressure and velocity field in the loading process of the coal specimen is analyzed, the absolute permeability of the coal specimen is calculated, and the feasibility of the pore network model algorithm and finite ...

How to Assess Knowledge Cumulation in Environmental Governance Research? Conceptual and Empirical Explorations

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Environmental governance research (EGR) has been criticized for not being cumulative, despite the importance of cumulative knowledge for evidence‐informed decision‐making in addressing global sustainability problems. However, defining, measuring, and assessing knowledge cumulation in EGR remain challenging.

Inhibition of microRNA‐327 ameliorates ischemia/reperfusion injury‐induced cardiomyocytes apoptosis through targeting apoptosis repressor with caspase recruitment domain

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2019
Apoptosis is the major cause of cardiomyocyte death in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/RI). Increasing evidence suggests that microRNAs (miRNAs) can contribute to the regulation of cardiomyocytes apoptosis by posttranscriptional modulation of ...
