Roulette‐Inspired Physical Unclonable Functions: Stochastic yet Deterministic Multi‐Bit Patterning through the Solutal Marangoni Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometric multi‐bit patterning based on dynamic wetting and dewetting phenomena creates roulette‐like Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) labels with stochastic yet deterministic properties. This method leverages the solutal‐Marangoni effect for high randomness while achieving deterministic multinary patterns through polygonal confinement of binary ...

HAND2-AS1 inhibits invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer cells via microRNA-330-5p-mediated LDOC1

open access: yesCancer Cell International, 2019
Cervical cancer is a serious disease with complicated pathogenesis and thus there is an urgent need to find novel targets for the treatment. Recently, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as critical factors in tumorigenesis.

Southern California marine sport fishing from privately owned boats: catch and effort for October-December 1982 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The catch landed and effort expended by private-boat sport fishermen were studied in southern California marine waters between October and December 1982, to determine the impact of one segment of the sport fishery on local marine resources.

Fast transition of type-B QPO in the black hole transient XTE J1817-330

open access: yes, 2012
The evolution of different types of quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) and the coupled radiative/physical changes in the accretion disk are still poorly understood.

Turning on Selective H2S Gas Sensing Activity in Ternary Nickel Tungstate Strongly Correlated Electron System Through Sub‐Gap Band Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A strongly correlated electron system (SCES) exhibits pronounced insulating behavior due to Coulombic repulsion between cations, which generates a charge gap. This study investigates the tuning of the band structure in NiWO4‐based SCES via Cu doping at substitutional sites and Li doping at interstitial sites.

miR-330-3p suppresses liver cancer cell migration by targeting MAP2K1.

open access: yesOncology Letters, 2019
MicroRNAs, considered as a promising focus for the treatment of tumors, are key regulators of a large number of genes. The aim of the present study was to investigate the biological functions of microRNA (miR)-330-3p in liver cancer as it had been ...

Economic Guidance and Contestation: An Analysis of Thailand’s Evolving Trajectory of Development

open access: yesJournal of Current Southeast Asian Affairs, 2013
This paper broadly examines the history of Thailand’s models of development from the fall of the absolute monarchy in 1932 to the present. It asks two questions: First, what have the models been? How do they interact?

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Protective effects of microRNA‐330 on amyloid β‐protein production, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease by targeting VAV1 via the MAPK signaling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2018
This study aims to explore the effect of miR‐330 targeting VAV1 on amyloid β‐protein (Aβ) production, oxidative stress (OS), and mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease (AD) mice through the MAPK signaling pathway.
