An Inefficient Representation of the Empty Word [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We show that Post's system of tag with alphabet $\{0,1\}$, deletion number 3, productions $0\rightarrow 00$ and $1\rightarrow 1101$, and initial string $111\cdots 1$ (330 times) converges to the empty word after a very large number of rewriting ...

Unlocking Ultra‐Long Cycle Stability of Li Metal Electrode by Separators Modified by Porous Red Phosphorus Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition

Similarity between positronium-atom and electron-atom scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We employ the impulse approximation for description of positronium-atom scattering. Our analysis and calculations of Ps-Kr and Ps-Ar collisions provide theoretical explanation of the similarity between the cross sections for positronium scattering and ...

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...
