Antiaging, Wound‐Healing Properties and Chemical Characterization of Crude Hydroalcoholic Extract and Fractions of Myrcia neoobscura

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to characterize the phytochemical profile and potential antiaging and wound‐healing activities of 70% hydroalcoholic crude extract (CHE) from Myrcia neoobscura leaves and its fractions—insoluble (IF), ethyl acetate (EAF), and aqueous (AF)—for use in phytocosmetics for skin application.

Highly Efficient Dehydrogenation From Methylcyclohexane Over Pt Supported on Mesoporous Ni‐Al Composite Oxide With Excellent Textural and Surface Properties

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, EarlyView.
Mesoporous Ni‐Al composite oxide prepared by a facile approach was used as support for the highly homogeneous dispersion of metallic Pt active sites in a form of single‐atom clusters. The resultant catalyst displayed inspiringly improved catalytic performance in the MCH dehydrogenation reaction.

A Systematic Review of Substance Misuse Treatment Processes and Outcomes as Implemented in Prisons for Men in the UK

open access: yesCriminal Behaviour and Mental Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background With a rising prison population, a substantial portion of whom are identified as substance misusers, it is important to understand the availability of treatment pathways, their successes and areas for improvement. Given the likely importance of national factors in criminal justice and substance use service provision, we chose to ...

The Utility of CRT: Analyzing Systemic Issues in Community and Technical Colleges

open access: yesNew Directions for Community Colleges, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the underutilization of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in addressing systemic racial inequities within community and technical colleges (CTCs). We argue that while diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are prevalent, CRT offers a more robust framework for understanding and dismantling systemic racism.

Sulfonic Acid‐Functionalized KIT‐6 Solid Acid Catalysts for Glycerol Acetylation

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
Sulfonic acid‐functionalized KIT‐6 (PA‐KIT‐6), synthesized via the post‐synthesis method, is an effective solid acid catalyst for glycerol acetylation, producing triacetin, a promising bio‐additive, along with two other byproducts that are also valuable in the fine chemical industry.
