Background Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (SP) and the prevalence of meticillin‐resistant SP (MRSP) is increasing in dogs worldwide. Objectives To evaluate the influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance of SP and whether restricted use of antimicrobials based on antibiograms could reduce the identification of ...

The distribution of Mahler′s measures of reciprocal polynomials
We study the distribution of Mahler′s measures of reciprocal polynomials with complex coefficients and bounded even degree. We discover that the distribution function associated to Mahler′s measure restricted to monic reciprocal polynomials is a reciprocal (or antireciprocal) Laurent polynomial on [1, ∞) and identically zero on [0, 1).

Generalizations of Bernoulli numbers and polynomials
The concepts of Bernoulli numbers Bn, Bernoulli polynomials Bn(x), and the generalized Bernoulli numbers Bn(a, b) are generalized to the one Bn(x; a, b, c) which is called the generalized Bernoulli polynomials depending on three positive real parameters. Numerous properties of these polynomials and some relationships between Bn, Bn(x), Bn(a, b), and Bn(

On certain Heun functions, associated functions of discrete variables, and applications
Two sets of the Heun functions are introduced via integrals. Theorems about expanding functions with respect to these sets are proven. A number of integral and series representations as well as integral equations and asymptotic formulas are obtained for these functions.

Exponential forms and path integrals for complex numbers in n dimensions
Two distinct systems of commutative complex numbers in n dimensions are described, of polar and planar types. Exponential forms of n‐complex numbers are given in each case, which depend on geometric variables. Azimuthal angles, which are cyclic variables, appear in these forms at the exponent, and this leads to the concept of residue for path integrals

Background – Supplementation of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) enables dose reduction of prednisolone and ciclosporin in canine atopic dermatitis (cAD). Objective – To determine if oral administration of PUFA can reduce the dose of oclacitinib for cAD. Conclusion – Oral supplementation of PUFA allowed dose reduction of oclacitinib and improved pVAS,

New Hardy-Hilbert-type integral inequalities involving special inhomogeneous kernel functions
In this article, new Hardy-Hilbert-type integral inequalities are established. Our main result is based on a special inhomogeneous two-parameter kernel function.

On Hankel Transform of Generalized Mathieu Series [PDF]
Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 33E20, 44A10; Secondary 33C10, 33C20, 44A20By using integral representations for several Mathieu type series, a number of integral transforms of Hankel type are derived here for general families of Mathieu ...

New integral formulas with applications to integral inequalities
In this article, we derive new integral formulas involving a ratio function, a maximum function, and three adjustable parameters. Two of these parameters control the maximum function in di erent ways.
