Influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance and advantages of restricting antimicrobial use based on cumulative antibiograms in dogs with Staphylococcus pseudintermedius infections in Japan

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 668-e178, December 2021., 2021
Background Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (SP) and the prevalence of meticillin‐resistant SP (MRSP) is increasing in dogs worldwide. Objectives To evaluate the influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance of SP and whether restricted use of antimicrobials based on antibiograms could reduce the identification of ...

Various results in relation with the hypergeometric equations and the hypergeometric functions in the complex plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The main purpose of this investigation is to specify an extensive relation between the hypergeometric functions and the hypergeometric equations in the complex plane and then to point various implications of our main result, conclusion and also ...

New properties and representations for members of the power-variance family.I [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We derive new Wright-function representations for the densities of the generating measures of most representatives of the power-variance family of distributions.

The distribution of Mahler′s measures of reciprocal polynomials

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 52, Page 2773-2786, 2004., 2004
We study the distribution of Mahler′s measures of reciprocal polynomials with complex coefficients and bounded even degree. We discover that the distribution function associated to Mahler′s measure restricted to monic reciprocal polynomials is a reciprocal (or antireciprocal) Laurent polynomial on [1, ∞) and identically zero on [0, 1).

Generalizations of Bernoulli numbers and polynomials

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 59, Page 3769-3776, 2003., 2003
The concepts of Bernoulli numbers Bn, Bernoulli polynomials Bn(x), and the generalized Bernoulli numbers Bn(a, b) are generalized to the one Bn(x; a, b, c) which is called the generalized Bernoulli polynomials depending on three positive real parameters. Numerous properties of these polynomials and some relationships between Bn, Bn(x), Bn(a, b), and Bn(

Universal volume of groups and anomaly of Vogel's symmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We show that integral representation of universal volume function of compact simple Lie groups gives rise to six analytic functions on CP2, which transform as two triplets under group of permutations of Vogel's projective parameters.

On certain Heun functions, associated functions of discrete variables, and applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 59, Page 3717-3751, 2003., 2003
Two sets of the Heun functions are introduced via integrals. Theorems about expanding functions with respect to these sets are proven. A number of integral and series representations as well as integral equations and asymptotic formulas are obtained for these functions.

Exponential forms and path integrals for complex numbers in n dimensions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 25, Issue 7, Page 429-450, 2001., 2001
Two distinct systems of commutative complex numbers in n dimensions are described, of polar and planar types. Exponential forms of n‐complex numbers are given in each case, which depend on geometric variables. Azimuthal angles, which are cyclic variables, appear in these forms at the exponent, and this leads to the concept of residue for path integrals
