Oscillatory solutions of singular equations arising in hydrodynamics [PDF]
We investigate the singular differential equation (p(t)u (t)) = p(t)f (u(t)) on the half-line [0, ∞), where f satisfies the local Lipschitz condition on R and has at least two simple zeros.

Qualitative properties of solutions of certain fourth order linear differential equations
This work considers differential equations of the form where p, q and r are positive continuous functions defined on [0, ∞). The main concentration is on the oscillatory and asymptotic behavior of the solutions. Such an investigation is important because the above equation often arises in the study of mechanical vibrations.

Sturmian theorems for systems of differential equations
Two Sturmian theorems are established for second order linear nonhomogeneous systems of two differential equations with the use of a maximum principle. The results also hold for homogeneous systems. For illustration, an example is given.

”Homogeneous” second order differential equation: zeros separation principles
In this paper we study the following problems: Problem 1. Let I ⊂ R be an open interval and F : R3 × I → R be a continuous function with, F (0, 0, 0, x) = 0, for all x ∈ I. We consider the following differential equations ... ...

Wronskians and subspaces of certain fourth order differential equations
The objectives of the paper are to study the behavior of Wronskians of solutions of the fourth order differential equations and to relate this behavior with the oscillations of these equations, as well as to the structure of the subspaces of the solution spaces of the equations.
